AFC East Will Be Not A Given

Jets got really lucky as the Browns went full Browns.  New England barely beat Pittsburgh who is a below average team without Watt.  Dolphins are the real competition.  Let's hope we just get by tomorrow night with all our injuries and go to Miami next week ready to go.

Apparently everyone in the east got better, but the Bills didn't? Buffalo improved as much, if not more than the other 3 teams.

Not surprised you would make a thread like this.

great post-  lots of insight.  Only meant for one thing.  Doing what you do.

But two losses more likely 😔

Bet?  $100 per game?

Come on man. We've both been around here long enough for you to know I wasn't being serious.

This thread is a joke.

Gonna be a long 24 hours on here before we stomp the Titans tomorrow.

I'm glad the Phins beat Baltimore.  I think the Phins will fade over the course of the season but the Ravens will be in the hunt at the end.  This Raven loss may help with the Bills getting the #1 seed.  Now the Bills need to take care of their business and continue to stack wins starting with beating the Titans tomorrow night.

You've been around long enough to know in the NFL a win is NEVER easy, and is ALL that matters. Both the Pats and Jets showed some moxy. My point is the Bills NEED home field advantage to improve their chances to advance to the SB. At this point, it looks that much harder to achieve.

Soooo many ridiculous takes coming out of the woodwork. The AFC East still goes through Buffalo until it doesn't. Miami had an impressive win and Tua looked great for one quarter. Jets win by 1 pt and the Pats barely beat a Steelers team without their best player. Now I'm seeing posts like, "Bills better have an impressive win tomorrow" "I pray we split with Miami, two losses looks more likely". Some people need to give up their Bills fan cards.

Sounds like some whistling by the graveyard on your part. You have no idea if the Dolphins will fade. In fact they are a much younger team than the Bills. Bills could easily be 1-2 after week three.

When was the last time the Dolphins beat the Bills?

They didn't look good until the Ravens started blowing coverages. I assume you didn't watch either of their first two

games.

The Dolphins aren't that good, I really don't see how people are all over their jocks. Tua underthrew a TD pass that luckily went completely uncovered. I was more worried about Baltimore before today; but they don't have a competent defense apparently. Still not worried about the overacheiving Dolphins. Sorry but they're not that good.

Just stating the obvious my friend. I'm still extremely high on the Bills. Just pointing out that going 6-0 in the conference is VERY unlikely. Which means the Bills must do better in the other in-conference games. I fly every week, and would never think about a plane crash. You seem a bit Pollyannaish.

Exactly. There are a subset of fans who love to dramatize things with hot takes.

That or the faux bills fans who say things like "I don't think Allen has ever had as good of game as Tua had"😂

The Ravens left Tyreek Hill 1 on 1 twice for some ridiculous reason and even then Tua underthrew both balls and I guarantee Poyer or Hyde disrupt either.

You mean the division. The Bills will at worst be 5-1 in the AFCE. Miami on the road is a tough game.

Exactly! To some fans, Allen will never measure up to Tua because he most likely won't have a 6 passing TD game. But the problem with that is, with Allen, the Bills won't need him to do that because they will never be behind by so much that he needs to throw every play.

I feel like advising people to just worry about the Bills' performance and not over-react would be like "Young Fred" in the following exchange from "Yellow Submarine" (1968):

Young Fred: Don't touch that button!

(Ringo presses the indicated button.  He is ejected into the Sea of Monsters.)

Young Fred: It was the Panic Button.

Why? Just because you want them to be "Not that good" That and $3 gets a small coffee at Tim Horton's. And not a compelling argument. The Dolphins were already improved last year, had a great draft, and free agency signings. I've been a Bills fans since 1970, but I'm mature enough to take a realistic look at the competition. You on the other hand seem to rely on wearing your lucky Bills shirt.

You literally started a pollyannish thread.  And, nothing you stated is obvious.  Transitive property does not work in the NFL.  Just because the other AFC East teams won today doesn't have any affect on the Bills chances of beating them all.

Who cares. Mike White looked great for the Jets last year...remember what happened when he played our D?

There is a huge difference between playing other teams D and playing ours.

Just ask the Rams.

Mike White was the first person I thought of when I saw Tua's game today. I expect the same thing that happened to White the following week when he played the Bills.

The Pats are bad and they barely beat them. They were getting smacked by Baltimore and figured out their defensive backs are trash and decided to do something about it. Baltimore gave up a shade under 800 passing yards the first 2 games this season. Josh can throw for more yards blindfolded.

The Dolphins have yet to show me they're a good, 4 quarter team. They won't beat us this year.
