Beerball
Choice is easy for me. Get your butt upstairs where you can see the field and remove yourself from the emotions on the sideline. Get yourself organized and focus on the next play before the prior one ends. 3

muppy
I would think that even logistically with what an OC needs to be effective, his computers and room for notes etc being upstairs would be better. . And not only remove he from the overhyped sidelines emotion but also the Noise of the crowd. Along with his birds eye view it would seem to me the Most logical place for he to be. But does he agree...we'll see.

Scott7975
Upstairs is better IMO. It gives the OC a better view to see how they are being played against.
ganesh
I agree. He needs to let Brady deal with the sideline and getting into the QB's head. The OC has a bigger game to look that includes the QBs, WRs, TE, RB and OL. His best place in the room with the heated seats. 1
GunnerBill
Upstairs is my preference. But it comes down to where he and Josh want him.

I posted this in another thread, but I think the OC needs to know that he has somebody on the sidelines he trusts to communicate face-to-face with the QB between series. I think Dorsey has that in Brady, and I expect Dorse to stay in the booth. He already said he’s going to be in the booth today.

Freddie's Dead
They were talking on OBL about how Dorsey has been known to question the ancestry of NFL referees. They figure going upstairs is a net positive, cutting down on those unsightly unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for a sideline coach.
BuffBillsForLife
To get the best possible view of the field, Dorsey will call plays from the nosebleeds.

JohnBonhamRocks
Wherever he does best. My heart says sideline so he can be down there with Allen and the O, but my head says booth where he can see the overall picture of the game better. Cheektowaga Chad
If you're calling plays I think you need to be in the booth. To me it makes more sense He has to trust that his position coaches and players can convey the emotion from the field and info from the sidelines to him in the booth, so that he can combine it with what he is seeing live

Ethan in Cleveland
Upstairs seems to make sense but yet every HC that calls plays - Reid McVeigh Shanahan all do it from the sidelines. Probably doesn't make much difference.

Warcodered
Gabe Davis said they'd lock him up in the booth if they had too. I think Dorsey said he'd see how it goes so maybe he tries on the field next preseason game for now he's in the booth.

Sierra Foothills
Two thoughts... I can't think of a current OC that calls plays from the sidelines however... there are still some HCs that call the offensive plays and they're obviously gonna be on the sidelines. machine gun kelly
I had the game on yesterday, but also was doing something else so did anyone see where Dorsey was yesterday. Id guess he’ll try both places in the preseason to figure out what he likes more. I’m guessing his job is a little easier from the booth as you can see patterns from the opposing defense.
