Miyagi-Do Karate
I know Devin has improved from last year, but watching moss and DS on the field, Moss just brings so much more to the table. He hits the hole harder, is a short yardage bruiser, is very good out of the backfield catching the ball, and is a very good blocker. Beyond that, if the Bills go to that read option/RPO stretch action they ran a lot of during the WFT game, Moss is a much more instinctive and decisive runner. Devin was lost out there on those runs, just getting swallowed up looking for a crease. The stats from last game bear this out, with Moss having 13/60 (plus 30 rec yards), and Singletary with 11/26. I think we need both guys, but I would like to see the split be more like 80/20, than 50/50. 4 3 9 2

The thing is the hits these guys take at times are big and splitting carries keeps them fresh. In this past game it did feel like Moss was more decisive and was able to get more yards after contact than Devin. He has a more bruising style that I think is a bit more effective when our backs hit that second level of a defense. Devin is a bit more of a finesse RB that can make folks miss if he is given space. It is up to Dabs on how to best align what they bring and use them effectively. 4
berg1029
I love me some devin singletary, but he scares me. Every time he touches the ball I feel like I'm waiting for him to fumble or drop the pass. I'd prefer Moss just for ball security reasons alone.
Eastport bills
Moss, if he can stay healthy, will be the guy that gets the tough yards both in short yardage and milking the clock if we have leads in the 4th qtr. He runs harder than Motor and is equally effective with screens and swing passes. He will be impactful and compliment our great passing attack. SageAgainstTheMachine
Off the top of my head, the only guys who get 80% of their team's carries (when healthy) right now are Henry, McCaffrey and Mixon. Two of them are the biggest focal point of their team's offense and the other's backup is *checking notes* Samaje Perine. If you want to include pass catching opportunities I'm sure Kamara is out there 80% of the time. Moss doesn't need to be in this company when Singletary is off to a fast start and showing burst. 60/40 I could buy. I also think it was probably a mistake to make Moss a healthy scratch against Pittsburgh but Motor ran well in that game and we won't ever know McD's reason anyway. 34-78-83
Round and Round we go! 🤪 Both guys have specific skill sets that work for this team differently on a game by game basis. It's a committee approach. The team seems fully content with that. Likely, barring injury or the fumble doghouse, we'll see each of them leading different games in touches. 4 2

And he can't break tackles and doesn't push forward after contact. All I've been seeing is him getting hit and going down if there's anyone around him. Zack Moss has been head and shoulders the better RB these past two games. 2 1
Bangarang
Given our options, I’m okay with a RB by committee approach. Give the bulk of the touches to whoever is the most effective each week. 2
whorlnut
Moss was quickly becoming the guy last year but dealt with some nagging injuries that derailed him. It wasn’t until his season ending injury in the playoffs that Singletary got some major run. What happened next? We were rewarded with a key drop on screen pass in the afc title game that was the beginning of the end of our season. I’ve seen enough of Singletary and Moss to know Moss is the best rb we have on this roster. 1
BillsShredder83
Devin on draws versus standard hand off was night amd day. Looked explosive on handoffs, and like he was running in sand off the draw. Have Moss take the draw or stop calling it
DabillsDaBillsDaBills
We're basing this on a sample size of 1 game? Singletary was pretty good vs Pitt and MIA. I thought a lot of his struggles vs WFT were the O-line failing to block. Both guys have a fumbling problem - although we haven't lost any yet (knock on wood). Neither guy has shown enough to be a featured back. Continue splitting evenly and maybe ride a hot hand on an individual game basis.
DCofNC
Moss misses a lot of opportunities to get more yards, he’s very frustrating to watch, I think the reason he got benched early this year, is his lack of vision. Motor is better in regards of seeing the openings and going for them. The thing we need is a hybrid of the 2 of them, give me Motor’s moves and vision, and Moss’ size and hard nose running. 1

Simon
The problem with that is if you try to ride him, you're going to lose him. He's one of those guys that runs so galdanged hard that it's only a matter of time before he gets hurt. Protect him from himself by making him part of a tandem and you'll have a great back you can rely on all year; try to turn him into a lead back and you're going to be watching the Bills wasting downs with Matt Breida behind an OLine that can't make space for him. 1

Rc2catch
I don’t think Breida is out just yet either. I’d have to think all 3 are going to play some meaningful snaps this year. I think most can agree it’s gonna be game plan specific and the hot hand approach mostly. And we also know there’s games they just are not gonna run much too.

Since his return, the running game and short passes to the backs has really complimented Josh's midrange and vertical passing game. Zach runs hard and he smells the goal line. After that fumble against Miami he's been a load. 2

Good backs are available every year in rounds 3-5. Use them up, then get a new one. 3

LeGOATski
This reminds me of Edmunds vs Milano. With some fans, it has to be either-or. They just can't accept that guys have different roles and different strengths. Motor and Moss is a play-the-hot hand situation. We can go back and forth week by week proclaiming one or the other as the starter. Motor looked better in preseason and entered the season as the starter with Moss a healthy scratch. It only took one week to change... Based on his presser, McDermott said Moss is more motivated now. Motor was already motivated based on the offseason stories about his training. You think McDermott wanted Moss to take inspiration from Motor? 1
