Could You See Josh Allen Doing TV Commercials?

Recommended Posts

If you look at all of the Super Bowl winning QBs (even non SB-winning QBs, like Baker Mayfield, i.e.) this century, they all have done at least one TV commercial.  Could you see Josh doing one, especially if the Bills win their first Super Bowl?  Your thoughts....

Absolutely, Josh has a good head for business, has shown massive perseverance and has had success because of that, an investment firm would be an ideal partnership, his story is their story etc etc,

I could see him being a natural spokesman for farm interests like the "Nuts" commercial.

He could say "Not only am I a customer but I help grow them during offseason."

Probably doesn't want to boost the competition for Josh's NutsTM

I hope so. If he makes a ton of money in endorsements, he might be willing to take a bit less on his contract, leaving more cap space to build a winner.

Plus, he's far more personable than Rodgers or Mahomes.

Looked at Instagram of Josh's Allen (just top, not have account) and not think that is Josh Allen's account.

He could also do Cantaloupe commercials. There are a lot of "Grown in California" commercials.

I'm more than a bit surprised that he doesn't already have some big commercial endorsement deals.  Certainly better than Baker Mayfield and he'd be an ideal choice to scoop up whatever Deshaun Watson used to have.  Plus his persona is conducive to lots of creative advertising.

Baker signed a couple of huge commercial deals after his rookie season when he was said to be the next Johnny Unitas

A couple of companies gambled and lost. The hype died

Mayfield has taken on the successor to Peyton Manning comedy role.  Have to wonder if it will typecast him.  I have a hard time picturing him anything other than goofy skit commercials now.

I actually think Baker's wife is the real star of those commercials.

Or Josh, from State Farm.  Unseat Mahomes!  Sign of what’s coming on the field.

Who is it?  Josh from State Farm.  What are you wearing Josh, from State Farm?

Uh Khackys.

Just sayin.

I don't know...I could very easily see him in a Summer's Eve commercial.

Josh is currently doing a commercial for NFL network. I think it pretty well done.

What about them?  Can you read my mind?  How did you know I think it's kind of silly and redundant to request responses when you post a thread on a public forum?

I kid, I kid...

Or do I?  Well I guess you already know.

I thought he might of gotten some last year but with the whole Covid situation it made things tough, definitely a better chance this year.

Guy casually walking through his house. Speaks to someone off camera:

Guy: Hey Josh, can you toss me the keys.

Cut to Josh Allen sitting at the table eating cereal.

Josh: Sure. (grabs keys and casually tosses them underhand to Guy).

Guy catches the keys and the momentum knocks him through the wall. Cut to Josh pushing Guy on a wheelchair through a hardware store.

Josh: Lowes, for your home improvement... and repair needs.

End scene. Cut, print, check the gate.

I'll be really disappointed and confused if Allen DOESN'T become a national star and get endorsement deals and commercials.

If Allen has another season in the same neighborhood of productivity as he did this year and the Bills keep winning, why WOULDN'T companies want him as a pitch man?

He's a smart, funny, engaging, well spoken, charismatic, high character guy and an electrifying player.  He has "face of the league" written all over him.

It the counter argument is "he plays for a small market", well...my counter arguments are "Aaron Rodgers" and "Baker Mayfield". Both play in small markets. Allen has more charisma than the former and is more likable than the latter.

Idk. Baker is pretty likeable too. He gives Cleveland that attitude they so desperately needed. He's a leader like Allen.

Allen is great but also one of those "guys who have it all" types that might not have as broad appeal as advertisers want.

It's easier for the common folk to relate to the undersized Mayfield or the goofy, unathletiyc looking Rodgers(yes he's goofy looking, he looks like every 1980's Detroit Lions QB).

Plus there are two more incoming with Levor and Zach 5th Avenue.........if they do really well it could be a tossup which one of them LeBron allows to do commercials.
