Why would the Bills want to destroy their team chemistry?

Plus, the Bills already have a better replacement.  Tanner Gentry.

I've seen the Josh-Gentry connection on film.

But serious question, if Gentry could learn to separate at the NFL level against NFL DBs, why would the Bears send the Turk after him going into 2019 training camp?

Bonus Gentry film clip for attention:

Also I'll admit it, I follow some of the Bills players on Instagram and Gentry just doesn't look like he's keeping himself in tip-top professional WR physical condition.  He's got a "Dad Bod" from the look of it.

he's a sick player, but w gabe, beez, and diggs, we have some quality at WR.  we need to diversify our attack on O.  we already have josh running it and extending plays, an RB who can catch and do damage, and a TE who can eat are the best returns for us.

obv, line play, particularly inside, is a need and might just help one or two of the items above.

Why do people think we can afford that kind of move in a position we’re mostly set at?

This isnt the old Bills, we have to prioritize now. If we spend that kind of money it will be at a position of serious need.

When you’re a team in our position you sign aged vets for one or two years and have to draft well for everything else. This isn’t your grandmas Bills.

JuJu is not the speed we are looking for. He’s mostly an underneath receiver and we got plenty of those.
We need guys who can take the top off the defense to free up Diggs and Beasley underneath. Diggs can do it but seems kinda wasteful to send our best guy deep non stop.
Think a poor mans Tyreek Hill or Hardman

JuJu is a Slot WR, he played 82% of his snaps there last year. He's not an outside downfield WR like Brown, which is what we'd need. Beasley is one of the best slot WRs in the NFL, we're set there. I highly doubt JuJu's name has even crossed Beane's mind.

I was thinking of a John Brown replacement, don’t get me wrong I like Davis as well but idk if he’s a #2 WR just yet

That's fair, but I would suspect they do, otherwise they would not let Brown go to free up 7m only to spend that on a WR who may not be all that much better.

Less than No interest. He doesn’t fit the “humble and hungry” mindset/culture of this team. He’s constantly being a cocky prick and giving other teams bulletin board material.

Maybe I’d feel differently if the Bills signed him but I can’t stand JuJu.

I would argue Diggs did more negative stuff than JuJu before he came here. JuJu isn’t a bad guy. He just did stupid dances.

as others have said, he doesn’t really fit what we need. But to call him a prick fo dancing is a little dramatic.

Honestly, I don’t know what happened to him. He was so likable as a rookie, the anti Antonio Brown who light up Burfict.  And his stuff isn’t the worst but it seems like he is way more concerned about his “brand” and it’s so corny.

He had a down year the year before. People turned on him. He continued to have fun without putting up huge numbers. People hate that.

Totally agree. I just look up his numbers and they weren’t as bad as I thought. His ypc is like the worst I’ve ever seen though for that many catches. 8.6

We would have just kept Smoke, right?

I think probably so

I think that's on Big Ben more than Juju

Highly doubt Gronk leaves Tampa. Brady In Tampa is the only reason he came out of retirement.

Not wrong - at least buffalo is good.  Hometown hero vibe for a swan song.  12 million tied up in brate and howard as well.  I think they put howard out there as a cut candidate, but there's some sort of injury framework around 5th year options.  So I believe that would make the contract guaranteed since he tore his achilles, and probably can't pass a physical.  With barrett, david, godwin and others getting paid - somethings gotta give at TE.

Brady probably wants Gronk more than anyone else, but 6 million is too much for a 3rd string TE.  Then at the same time you have brate under contract 3 years, and howard is UFA after this year.  It's an interesting position they are in.

I am intrigued by JuJu.  I would hire him to our social media team for $17/hour not a penny more.

Maybe since it's cuz it's my birthday and I'm day drinking

But you literally just made me spit my drink out 🤣

JuJu is a weenie. I like that the kid has fun but he seems like he's a little too wrapped up in his "brand" or whatever. And I don't think he's a legit #1 receiver. I know he caught 97 passes last season but his YPC was way down. That may have been because their offense switched over to a west coast inspired passing attack.

He'll go somewhere. I don't know if we'll see too many guys getting "overpaid" this season due to the cap. I just think teams might be a little tighter with their money and less likely to get into bidding wars this year because they just don't have the $ to throw around. That said, I bet the big stupid Jets swoop in and give him a moronic deal. And then he'll arrive with all the fancy fun fanfare and then proceed to catch two passes for five yards and a fumblerooski. The Jets must suffer!!

I would just assume bring John Brown back...

Good chance he won’t come back especially after the comments he made about Allen having a say in cutting him and not defending for him to be kept and also making a comment about how upset he is at Beane for not telling him that he got cut.

Why would they sign a WR to big money? I love when people give sarcastic replies but offer nothing.

I love when people definitively speak as if they are in the know but clearly are not.  We have zero idea what direction the Bills will go in free agency so let’s not pretend like we do.

It's a discussion board. People state opinions. People make predictions. Try it.

You obviously believe the Bills will sign a big money WR. I'm interested to hear how you think that's possible?

I think anything is possible because my name is not Brandon Beane.  We have a few holes at WR with JB and possibly McKenzie’s exodus’s.  To completely rule out (with certainty) the potential of a top WR coming here is lazy and closed minded.  Both SB teams were/are completely loaded at WR and TE.  Since it’s a copycat league what makes you think this is 1000000% not happening to the point you are discouraging other posters from considering the possibility?

Cap space. Draft pick is possible. We need depth at WR. I believe they would have tried to keep John Brown if they weren't comfortable with Davis. The Bills have 2 very good WR's and a talented 2nd year WR. TE is a position they seem to want to upgrade.

I think they will add a WR, just at a lower cost.
