I think they know who they've played though... Triple A schedule. The week before they needed a defensive TD to beat a qb who had 33 passing yards. They have not been playing good football especially lately and the record is not really indicative of the teams play.

And a crazy sequence at the end of the first half that had Baltimore at their 1 yard line attempt to run it with no timeouts, PIT committed a clear delay of game penalty and then their TE dropped a pass in the endzone as time expired in the half that would have been a TD.

They struggled with Dallas and almost lost to them before rallying late, and survived late scares from Tennessee and Baltimore also.  Realistically they probably should have 9 wins right now based on talent, the soft schedule and backup QBs made it easier than it should have been. KC would smoke them in a playoff game. Full marks to them for taking care of things on their end, you don't get to choose your schedule, but the Bills have had a much tougher schedule on balance than the Steelers have.

They are among the worst running teams in the NFL even WITH Connor, averaging 92.6 yards a game rushing and 3.7 YPC, 4th worst in the NFL.

I always check out the competitions boards before we play them.  Quite often sign up for an account and chit chat about the upcoming game...when I went to the steelers forum this time I found this.  *****...you would think they are 1 and 11 and not 11 and 1.  Also saw a couple other threads that it seems the majority think we will crush them.  Shocked really.

Anyway thought I'd share.

I have a good friend who is a Steelers fan and my impression is they have no appreciation of, or faith in, the quality of their franchise.  Even in their strongest years fans like to b*tch about stupid things and believe the team isn't much good.  Constantly thinking they're going to lose a game.  I wonder how many of their fans actually enjoy rooting for them because by all appearances my friend doesn't.  The misery seems to outpace the joy.  To each his own, I guess.

Horrible for the Steelers?  Why so?  Curious if your take is different from what I’ve been reading.

I like the way you think. 🤣

Bills weakness is their run D > Steelers have a poor run game

Bills defensive strength is secondary > Steelers can't throw the ball downfield

I think the Steelers being banged up on D tilts the scale to favor Josh Allen and the Bills offense.

I basically just don't see any isolated matchup that favors Pittsburgh.

This is just recency bias. People always react according to the last game played.

I think after watching Buffalo vs 49ers after the loss probably didn't help matters.

Myself personally, the Steelers are worn down from the compressed scheduling IMO.

Beautiful....just beautiful.  Reminds me of Mints and the Sundowner across the border!

There was an "Underground Railway" in Civil War.

Is there one to get customers to Canada (no idea if businesses which used to get a lot of business from Bills and other players is still open).

I think it will be a very hard-fought game.  Big Ben has excelled at getting the ball out of his hands quickly and letting people make plays.  We have to be on guard for the screen passes and quick dump-offs that we sometimes allow to go for 5-6 ypc.  That moves the chains.

I think TJ Watt will be fired up

what a spoiled entitled bunch of fans. To used to having a good team. Could you imagine the Bills winning a single Superbowl forget 5/6 of them. An 11-1 should get a little more respect from thier own fans.

I don't know about that. They probably don't want to take the team for granted and be lax.

Steelers aren't bad, but they don't strike me as a real contender, regardless of their record.

Every time I see them play they seem flat/unimpressive.

I've been looking at that.

For those of you who are going to their board, I'm curious what the Steelers fans see as their biggest strengths and the drivers for their impressive record?

FWIW I would share that the Bills had their own run in with being handed the Covid reschedulings due to another team's follies, and struggling with it.

That's Steelers fans for ya. I lived in the area for seven years and you'd think that the Steelers were one of the worst organizations at times by the way some fans would react to the team.

Even though they're tied for the best record in the NFL, they aren't the best team. That said, some Steeler fans can typically be way too hard on their team.

All that said though, I believe we will beat them too.

So you let him get fired up and run into a Mongo forearm when hes not looking. Won't be fired up for long.

There was a time fans were calling for Alex Tanny "the Trick Shot QB" to get a shot here.  The Bills even bragged about bringing him in for a workout, and he was shortly signed to the practice squad.  "You can't teach accuracy like that".  That was how low we had gotten - we were looking  to a youTube sensation to turn us around.

I don't know if I'd go as far as bragging about the kid. The bills make tweets, and write an article about every player they've signed for 15 years

Nobody thought the kid was making the roster, and the bills didn't either cuz they cut him and never even gave him a snap

The Steelers are about to go on the road and play their third game in 11 days against us.  That's tough on any team.   The Steelers are not healthy while the only notable Bills' injury is John Brown.  Unless weather precludes the forward pass in this game, I think the Bills take care of business and win by two scores.

Let's pray for good weather for a night game, at home, in December.   That's not a big ask is it???

Really?  Granted, he has thrown 27 TDs this year.  But 21 came in 8 games versus teams with losing records.  NYG, PHL, WFT, DAL, CIN, JAX, HOU, DEN.  Not an impressive gauntlet.  21 rushes for 13 yards tells me he is not a scrambling risk any more.

His last 3 games his Avg Yard per Attempt is only 5.33.  And he's averaging 50 attempts in those games.  The Bills can only hope this type of passing attack continues.

I'm not impressed.

I do not find it surprising.  Every team has some Debbie Downers in its fandom who disappear after good games. upChuck DICKerson disciples were around during Superbowl years.

oh please,  there are numerous posters here trying to run the best QB, HC, GM, probably MLB we’ve had in decades and name any other 10 players or staff out of town constantly no matter the record.

It was miserable here after the chargers, jets and patriot wins.

This same base Had those that were calling for Reich to permanently replace Kelly.

There are self masochists in a lot of fan bases.

Green Bay fans called into their local talk shows about benching Rodgers 😆

I think this is going to be a challenging game. And I would not be surprised to see the Steelers come out extremely motivated.

While the Bills are expected to come out yawning as if they missed their Sunday afternoon naps.

Dude — in what world are the Bills not supremely motivated in this game?

Nobody said it will be easy, but it’s time to stop assuming the Bills are the ones who have to “overcome” to win.

I never said that, but there have been multiple posters talking about how bad the Steelers are, how easy their schedule has been, and how easily the Bills will handle them, predicting essentially a blowout.

The Bills ARE the ones that need to overcome. They are facing a 1 loss team. Fans who take the Steelers lightly may be disappointed.

Of course, McDermott will have his team ready and motivated. No doubt about it. But I guarantee you he doesn't view this game as a cakewalk like some fans here do.

I expect the Bills to win, but I am not taking the Steelers lightly like some fans here.
