A huge key to this game is Tremaine Edmunds, Belichek in the past has proven he can effectively neutralize him.  If Edmunds hits the wrong gaps, jumps on misdirection etc it could be a very very long day of them pounding our brains out running.  To me Edmunds and how he performs today is a key.

I hope McD knows this and will have Leslie draw up calls accordingly. We've beaten this horse dead, and Edmunds is who he is. We've seen his flashes and his bone-headed mind numbing flaws....it's time for the staff to capitalize on his strengths and limit chances to be exposed. I wouldn't be surprised to see running game stunts and blitzes. I expect NE to run a lot of play action, zone reads, RPO, etc. so giving Edmunds a specific assignment ahead of time and relying on the secondary to clean up behind him could help to put Edmunds into a successful position and not allow BB to take advantage of his 49's flaws.

We can spin it any way we want...fact still remains that as a top pick he is not considered good enough to dress..

Does not bother me in the least.  No spin - he is what we thought - a mid 2nd round pick that plays limited snaps and was drafted to be a replacement for next year.

If he is still on the bench next year - then I will be worried.  This year was always about preparing him for the future.  Anything else you get this year is great.

Rashod Berry played DE last year at Ohio state. I’m not saying he can’t play TE. But he really couldn’t get on the field at that position consistently

That's interesting. All the sites I looked at have him as a TE but the few snaps he has taken for NE* are on D and ST.

I wondering if NE* uses an OT as a TE today?

But how many 2nd round picks are not dressing? I could understand if we were stacked at the position, but we’re not...that’s all I’m sayin’

Have you actually looked? Davidson in Atlanta isn’t playing much (injured now though) , Matos in Carolina, Okwara in Detroit (hurt now)

Those guys are inactive and not playing a ton of snaps either.

You know everyone expects it to be a run game but belichick knows this too. Josh is going to have to rip it in this weather a few times. Maybe daboll will get him comfortable with some easy ones. This is why we drafted a cannon armed qb. Pats are going to be more one dimensional than we are imo

Unfortunately over the past few weeks Edumunds has been able to effectively neutralize himself.

There were 2 or 3 Moss runs last week that really reminded me of (Bills) Marshawn Lynch. I would really like to see him get a game today if 20-25 carries just to see what’s what.

And would like to see him behind Feliciano....could see that as a good power running combo.

Bills defense has an opportunity today.  If the Pats try to  run with Newton and the RBs and have a short passing game, the Bills can put 8 men in the box and rely on the corners to win one on one with the WRs.

It’s not a good look when your hope for the Bills’ 2nd round pass rusher is a solid rotational player- someday...there were plenty of other prospects on the board that could have been starting right now...what a waste...

Really like what specific positions?  other than possibly #2 CB and OLB  who typically rotates out on 3rd down anyway can't see any rookies starting.

D line is one of the two deepest positions on the team.  Admittedly no one is great pro-bowl level, but they have alot of depth and can roll out 9 guys as good as him.  AJ was likely drafted to become Murphys replacement next season.  He was drafted around #50 overall and dropped a huge amount from where he was originally expected to go.   Bottom line The team doesn't need him this year.

While I'd think unlikely I suppose too it's a possibility he is being sat out as about to be traded.

Off to my Bills Bar now.

Let's Dominate!

GO BILLS!!!

Cheers....My Bills bar didn't get the Sunday ticket due to restaurant capacity restrictions in PA. As a matter of fact you cant ever sit at a bar. My living room has now become my new Bills bar for 2020. On the bright side I'm saving about $70 a week.

I said earlier in the week, and I'll say it again. It is IMPERATIVE that the Bill's special teams is on the ball, and ready for games. It seems like they are due some trickery within the punt game or elsewhere.

Yep - this seems like the kind of game NE pulls a blocked punt or opponent muffed kick out of their a$$ - no killer ST gaffes!

Also in general - for sure NE is going to be constantly grabbing and punching at the ball.  My butt is going to be clenching every time a Bills player is getting YAC or held up going for extra yards - HOLD ONTO THE BALL!

This was huge last year - yeldon fumbled in the red zone, there were so many chances to win that game

I put my bar tab for 2020 into a giant sectional. Why was I ever going to bars? This thing is awesome!

weather is really not good news for us. our offense is not built  to play in rough conditions, we saw this in the cheifs game. we like the spread the field and pass ball. Patriots will try to run down our throats and control the clock.

This is why buffalo needs to build a dome.

Im sure the patriots won in Foxboro bc their weather is 70 and sunny year long. Good thing they had a HOF running back and top running game every year. Its impossible to pass in bad weather. Thankfully they built a dome that enabled them to win all of those super bowls. We’re doomed.

the big thing i can see this game is turnovers with the wind and wet balls.   my msg to the team would be "keep a tight grip on  your balls"

Again my biggest fear...Daboll being obstinate calling too many passes and gusts knocking them to NE DBs.
