We definitely might have something special in Singletary. We definitely need less or none of Frank Gore and a lot more of Singletary.

No.  This is the wrong take.  Both serve their purpose.  I'm sure Singletary will get lots of action, which is well deserved.

I didn’t pipe in during the game threads as I was entertaining.

I’m calling BS on all you “ Fair Weather” fans throwing this Offense under the bus before the game was over.

     Shameful!!!!!

This was ostensibly a fifth preseason game for the O which has been almost completely rebuilt from last year.

NFL games and seasons are Marathons, not sprints. Kelly and Crew had absolute 58 minute stinkers, with multiple turnovers and still pulled them out.

I Billieved the whole game !!!!!!!

Good teams win a few games that they are not supposed to win.  We shouldn't have won this game when we were down 16-0.  But we kept at it, continued to battle, got a few breaks (when the Jets got them all in the first half), and pulled it out.  This win gives me a lot of hope for this season and the core group as a whole.

Yep.  It’s a road win vs a tough division opponent.  I don’t even think it was ugly.  The Bills had some really bad breaks in the first half, but then stormed back from adversity.  And that defense is smothering.  Good things to come.

Yeah - my 17 yr old daughter was working on homework until the middle of the 3rd quarter.  She came down and things turned around.

The best part was she was out at the fridge getting a snack when the first TD was scored and spent the rest of the game out in the kitchen standing looking at the fridge.  She didn’t dare even peak around at the TV.

What a trooper!  We kept her up to speed, but she refused to move.

?

That's a good young woman you've raised. I have a Brother in law whose in his early 20's. give me a call in a couple years.

I'll be honest, I walked away for a bit after we went down 16-0.

As I finished using the bathroom, my wife told me she had checked her phone and it was not 16-3. I stayed watching that phone for the rest of the game. Clearly, I was a jinx this week because it was all awful when I was watching.

That game took a year off my life, but I am stoked we won!

The difference between Josh Allen and Darnold is immense in my opinion. Allen is a playmaker, you can improve the turnovers, but you can't make someone a playmaker. His style reminds me of Favre and Elway. Darnold on the hand just has never screamed anything special to me going back to college at USC. He's kind of like Mariota or Cousins, might put up some decent numbers, but doesn't have the swag.

The “process” gives me hope—we have a positive football culture and the roster McBeane wanted looks like one that will make this an enjoyable year for us—it’s nice to have hope.

Even if it was “only” the Jets and even though Mosley went out, it was a win with 17 unanswered points in the second half after four first half TOs—our guys showed character—grit and poise.

And, we’re so lucky to have Hauschka (Jets saved a few million but the real cost...).

Exactly. You always want Gore getting 1.5x the carries that Singletary gets. He's meant to bruise the defense, and make them sell out for physicality so that Singletary being savant gets them off guard.

Teams with 4 turnovers or more than the opposition had a record of 6-177 before tonight according to 'Around the NFL'. (Apologies if someone else had dug this stat out earlier in this thread...just heard it now on tv)

Superb comeback ... the beer tastes great tonight!

Great to see both Murphy and Lawson show up when we were so concerned about the production at DE other than Hughes.  Promising signs for Singletary too... and Josh bouncing back from a first half he must have been fairly down over.

Monday morning doesn't seem so bad anymore.

Go BILLS!

Not sure what to make of this.   Hopefully the sloppy play is out of their system.

This team has alot to clean up on offense.  That opening drive looked great until Dawkins got burned. Beasley struggled some. Gore is old and its time to put Devin in as RB1.

Allen actually looked good today. His picks were tipped balls, the 1 fumble was on Morse getting absolutely blown up at the snap, the ball never even made a motion towards Allen's hands. He looked more accurate, more comfortable in the pocket. Most importantly he led the team back to win. Made some big throws in between Singletary shredding the Jets on that last drive and of course the touchdown. Brown and Beasley made a huge difference in the passing game today. Definitely underrated free agent pick ups in the offseason.

I was way more concerned with the play calling. This should be a balanced offense, absolutely no reason to come out throwing 15 out of 16 plays. New England doesn't even do that and they have the GOAT at the position. We were built to run the ball. Drafted Singletary, released McCoy, you have Gore and Yeldon also in the backfield. Rebuilt the entire offensive line. Just a really strange approach to the game today. Next week hopefully makes more sense.

Did anyone else notice Ford moving to guard and Neshke entering the game as RT in the 2nd half? That will probably remain the lineup the rest of the season.

O line is a work in progress.  I think they will settle in on a starting five by game 3.

Ultimately the QB is responsible for getting the points on the board.JA didnt do that so well for most of the game.Good QBs take responsibility.

Kudos for him for not sulking and getting in there and making it happen later. keep progressing JA or the Bills are screwed no matter how good the defense is.

Bills and Jets both showed they’re not wildcard contenders.

I'm assuming this is sarcasm? It's too early to know mich about any team, but win is a win, and as the team grows this is great to have in our pocket.

watched the replay from a different angle on the INT for a TD.

OK--that was NOT on JA. Gotta correct when we are wrong.

It wasn’t a great throw, but the pick itself was flukey.  The ball just took a funky hop right into Mosley’s hands.  It wasn’t the type of pick that leaves you shaking your head about the quarterback’s decision making, and makes you question if he’s “the guy”.  It was the unfortunate kind that happen over the course of a season, and you hope the team can overcome.  All four turnovers were exactly the same variety.
