He has missed some throws today and yes the pick was a bad decision but there has been a lot of good in there again.

I was saying in the PFF/Allen thread that learning to read the field and throw the ball to the right player will be much more important in Allen's development than becoming more accurate. Today is what I mean. His accuracy if anything has been worse than usual, but he's making the right reads (and receivers are catching the ball), which currently equals a 64% completion and a 114 passer rating. I can live with inconsistent ball placement when everything else is going right.

I hated the Allen pick. He was the 1 QB I didn’t want the Bills to draft. I was very critical of him early and I wanted Barkley to play more after the Jet game....I am not saying Allen is good yet but I really do like him. At the end of the day I’ll admit I was wrong about him. I am happy they drafted him and I think the future is very interesting if not bright. Allen won me over from the standpoint of: I really truly like him. I am not all the way there yet with saying Allen is good. But it’s so much better then I expected and so much better then it usually is with Bills QBs. The guy is literally almost exactly Cam Newton.

Easy to create picks and confusion with bunch formations, crossing routes.

An announcer last week said that Belichick always believes in playing man - feels it always creates more pressure on a QB even when a defender is just trailing a receiver. Not that I like Belicheat, but his defenses and teams rarely get blown out.

This and the fact they know the plays and hold on every down.
