Bills @ Browns Gameday thread

Recommended Posts

Two things that set Allen apart. First, his mobility giving him a chance to extend plays. Second, his arm strength is unworldly. It doesn't matter where a DB is if he slings an accurate ball because it gets to the receiver before he can get his head around. It opens up everything.

I thought Allen looked really solid there. My favourite pass besides the TD was the incompletion in the back corner there at the end of the half, very smart and gave his guy a good chance.

Yeah I'm actually very impressed with that throw. I don't know why Thomas just put one hand up, he didn't even try to make a play.

I like the kick, Allen is on a high don’t put him in position where he could easily make a mistake and cost 3 points. He will be back out for the third my guess.

Good point. I hadn’t really thought of that.

bad cirumstances- not ready to give up on him.  bad OL, bad field position, bad receiver play.

That's probably going to be the case all season. He is holding the ball a lot longer than the other two.

Yeah I feel bad for Cadet on that one but I think Murphy probably beat him out regardless of the fumble.

Hell, wouldn't be shocked if ivory is used for just short yardage situations. I liked Murphy since he was activated last year. I could see him being the primary backup!

Josh Allen is just a monster back there size wise.  He can stand in, see over the line and his arm is ridiculous.

Those attributes alone open up everything as teams can’t just try to swallow him up with pressure or sell out on the run.

That was after he shook off a sure sack with disdain while keeping his eyes downfield.

Bills offensive line is offensive.  Allen appears to have figured out how to deal with that.

He's big, athletic, tough and mobile.

Peterman and McCarron are guys you don't want QBing behind a bad OL.

I think Allen is showing he's going to take some rookie lumps, but seems to be able to handle it.

Who here thinks Mccarron should still be considered for the starting QB?  Personally, no way.  Want no part of him.  His teammates were terrible.  No doubt. He’s terrible too.  I have no doubt

no way but he can still be a good backup.  played good last week.

for those who missed it... or just want to watch it over and over again...

I like the throw.  We know he can make the throw.  But what impressed me was the *poise* there.  Didn't look like a rook...

He is a good runner too despite his huge size.

He has NFL level athleticism similar to Tyrod.

AJ and Nate do not.
