Bleeding Bills Blue
yes - winning puts it on a neutral site. Losing puts it at arrowhead.... i think? 7 7

Billsfan1972
Pretty simple.... It is very important for seedings (though as said give the Bills the 3, I don't care). Noon will clarify things, but as I see it. 1. Bills Lose, KC Loses, Cincy wins all 3 have 4 losses 2. All win then Bills & KC 3 losses 3. Bills & KC W, Cincy L then Bills/KC 3 losses 4. Bills & Cincy W, KC loss, then Bills #1 and, but should be Neutral as they all could have 4 L's (if Cincy beat Buf and then they would have been #1). Know there are more, but yes a win is necessary. LABILLBACKER
Yes we have to beat NE to assure at least a neutral field at afccg. Now a Raiders win gives us #1 seed and possible choice (bye/ home field)
SCBills
I’d think it’s pretty important. If KC wins, we have two home games and then a neutral field game against KC / home game vs anyone else. If KC loses, we are the 1 seed. Either way, it certainly serves a purpose.

zow2
Seeing as NE is fighting for their playoff lives along with everything the Bills have on the line (seeding, avoiding Arrowhead)...this is kind of the first playoff game. Except if we lose, we're not going home.

D. L. Hot-Flamethrower
If there is any justice in the world Raiders beat KC , Bills beat NE and Cin beats Balt 3 Dbag coaches Reid, Fat Belly and John (i whine endlessly) Harbaugh lose The above 3 are also dudes I wonder how they would've handled the situation Monday night-check that I don't wonder because all that matters to them is winning football games. WotAGuy
If the Bills win, they are guaranteed no worse than #2 seed. Lose and likely #3, unless Cincy loses to Baltimore. Edited January 6, 2023 by WotAGuy
SoMAn
Quote I haven’t read everything, so forgive me if this has already been answered… has the league stated the AFCCG will/could be played at neutral site? Or, is this just supposition based on possible scenarios that have been offered by fans and media people? What is the official position of the NFL or is it still unsettled? ImpactCorey
Extremely important. A win guarantees at WORST a neutral location for the AFC championship. If Cincy also loses, it has the potential of being a home game.

Nextmanup
It's worth pointing out that any "neutral field" the Bills play on will in effect be a "home" field, or mostly home field, which could make a big difference in terms of communication on offense. KC and others have wonderful fan bases too, but no one is going to out-travel the Bills fanbase. Bills on a "neutral" field with maybe 60-70% Bills fans on hand is a big improvement over a straight up away game, especially at Arrowhead. 2

In the AFC Steelers fans would be right there with Bills fans. In the NFC the Packers and Cowboys as well. Outside these fanbases I don't think another would. Maybe the Giants but that's it. mannc
What happens if Chiefs win, Bills lose and Bengals win? Who would host the second round game between Bengals and Bills? Bills would be the #3 seed and host Baltimore. Cincy would be the #2 and host New England. Neutral fields I've heard about are Atlanta or Indianapolis. Detroit is getting new turf, so that's out, as they've already started the process.
Turbo44
Huge game for Bills: 1. They can eliminate NE from the playoffs 2. By winning they can get the 1 seed, if Chiefs loses. Even if Chiefs win, by winning we get 2 home games in the playoffs and a neutral game in the championship (or better yet a 3rd home game if KC loses before the Championship round) 3. If we lose to NE, and Cinci beats Baltimore (which they will) we play a tougher team in RD 1, probably have to go on the road vs Cinci in rd 2 and probably would have to go on the road in the AFC Championship vs KC This game is huge and coming in from CT cuz I feel I have to be there
