I think this one vs the Bengals is the biggest regular season game in a long time. Bills win they are probably the #1 seed. Lose and they are looking at the #3 seed. The Bills more than anybody feed off the home crowd. McDermott is undefeated at home in the playoffs but winless on the road.

If that’s you’re reasoning, I don’t understand how this could be the biggest because we could’ve been on the road the entire playoffs last year if we lost that second game against the pats

Fear both. AFC is a gauntlet of around 8 teams who could beat each other “any given Sunday.” The #1 seed is critical.

I would say you probably fear them because of unfamiliarity with joe burrow. Cincinnati has always been one of those teams that we seem to struggle with even in victory. We know we can best KC. We have no idea how we truly match up with cinci

Well, they got the Titans score correct...

I will take them being correct on either Buffalo's or Cincy's final score.

Allen's passing prop lines are absurdly low for this game, wow. His numbers haven't been good lately but one thing that has always been consistent is that he shows up in prime time.

Over under passing yards 240.5

Over 1.5 TDs at -120

??????

He just passed for 304 yards 4 tds and added 77 on the ground 2 weeks ago. The first 50 minutes of that game was the some of the best weather he's played in, in a while.

Over 1.5 TDs at -120 is insane. He's hit that in 4 of the last 5 games.

Alot of people giving Cincy more respect than Buffalo. As I said earlier Cincy's defensive equivalent in yardage allowed is the Rams. They're almost exact, total, passing and rushing yards are all within 1.9 yards or less of each other. If that's the case I like Buffalo's chances even more than I did before.

He's not totally wrong. I think it's been harder for the Bills to disguise much coverage-wise with Poyer and Hyde missing so much time this year, plus White out. But I think he's gonna see some things from the Bills that they haven't put on tape yet.

This is nice "bulletin board" material for sure.

Boyd says "If you miss this game, then you're not a true football TV watcher, or whatever you want to call it."

I think the word he's looking for is "fan." ??

I don’t care what Boyd says, he will always be a Buffalo hero for the Dalton/Boyd TD to break the playoff drought.

I donated to his charity.  This doesn’t change anything about the good way I still think about him for that.   I also don’t think the Bills are going to shut these guys down. However, I do feel bad for them because it is going to sting after reading their own clippings and seeing what everyone has been saying about them lately only to have Josh Allen and the Bills walk into their house, b***h slap them into the corner, sit in their favorite chair and then tell them to go get them some skyline chili they’ve been hearing so much about.

I mean come on, it’s gonna be awkward.

I know I griped about it before but I am seeing A LOT of love for the Bengals. Not that they are a bad team, but apparently our secondary is cooked despite being healtier than most of the season and being second in points allowed.

The Bills won't be able to run on the Bengals despite the fact that running made our offense click against the teams immediately behind the Bengals in run defense, which is the rest of the AFC East.

Joe Burrow is the best pure pocket passer in the NFL, except his numbers the past few weeks have looked comparable to Allen despite Allen playing in worse conditions and better defenses.

The more I see, I get the feeling that something is brewing. The defense is healthier than it's been in a while while the Bengals Oline is very banged up. This is the first clear weather game for the Bills really since Thanksgiving and they've now had some time to work in Beasley and Brown, while the run game has gotten clicking.

I don't have anything hard to back it up, but things seem to be coming together for a playoff run.

This game really is a coin flip. Most games you kind of have an idea of who is going to win but not this one. I expect a close game throughout. Probably a one score game that won't be decided until late in the 4th quarter.

Agree, hammer the overs.  Opponent, game script and weather all should support Allen needing to throw for more yardage than less.  Not to mention he shows up in prime time, like you said.

They lost to the Steelers at home. While they are good, they are beatable.

100% agree.  I think that is was is annoying about the arrogance from their players and the media obsession with Cincy right now.  They have lost a couple of stinkers.  They were down 17 to TB, who is awful...almost gave up the 22 point lead to the Pats.  They could win the whole thing, but they are beatable for sure.

Man Cincy is a cocky team.  Just listening and reading some of their quotes, they just come off as arrogant turds.

Burrow is known for his arrogance.  Perhaps his “leadership” is reflected in the attitude of the team.  I hope the Bills are able to get to him a bit.

There are two different beliefs about this Bills team:

One side saw this team as the dominant Super Bowl favorite before the season.  But since the bye, their many flaws have been exposed.  An overmatched offensive coordinator.  A below-average O-Line.  Not enough weapons around the quarterback.  Sloppy with penalties, drops and tackling.  A paper tiger defense that flops in big moments, and can't stop elite quarterbacks.

The other side also saw this team as elite before the season.  But nothing over the last two months has shaken their confidence.  They see a team persevering through massive injuries and terrible weather.  Battle tested, and finding ways to win close games.  All of the problems are self-inflicted, and they will surely get everything cleaned up for the home-stretch.

Fans have been arguing non-stop over which narrative is true for the last two months.  I have a feeling that Monday night will give us a really strong indication which side is correct.

Let them, JC.  Let them.  They are believing everything everyone is tossing at them.

As the saying goes, talk is inexpensive.

or is it “talk is not really worth that much.” 🧐

Go Bills!

Why would this bother you? This is probably the biggest Monday night football game in NFL history, both sides are playing winning football and both are going to get plenty of love because both sides believe they are the better team and the network is going to hype this up to the max.  538 ranks each game by Quality, Importance, and Overall Rating... check out the Monday Night rating...  Burrow and the Bengals were in the Super Bowl last season, we weren't.  That Super Bowl appearance will still be spinning the heads of many.

This is a game where I wish we had Von out there. Our pass rush is the key. I just don't like the matchup with their WR's vs our secondary. It's important to have a good pass rush but this game it's really important. This might be the toughest test the Bills secondary has faced this year given the quality of the QB and WR's on the Bengals.

all you have written is KEY. Our Pass rush MUST disrupt Burrow and the secondary needs to play Playoff caliber football with s few mistakes and penalties as possible.

Special teams are DUE for a runback yo just sayin'

Whose stopping Chase, Higgins, and Boyd? Would feel a lot better about this game if we had Von.

We all would.  But either the DL is improved enough without Von to bring pressure with 3 or 4, or we are going to struggle in the playoffs, because that was the whole goal of Beane's off-season: improve the DL to where we could affect the QB in the playoffs, while leaving the OL and the WR corps "good enough".

The idea is, that protects the secondary
