Sorry, wrong link.  Here it is

A quick google search indicates that Dr. Sutterer finished medical school in 2017 or 2018 and then did a 4 year physiatry residency, which means he's been in practice for 0-1 years. With time, he'll hopefully realize that this sort of speculation is counterproductive and not very professional, especially when he ends up being wrong on the record and his patients come bearing "receipts."

No.  It's already been reported as a knee sprain.  Severity will be determined later.

Where?  I could use some relief too.

EDIT-  I see some reports now as well, but they also did not rule out a more serious injury.

So it's still "Who knows"

I don't think it is an ACL. His foot got stepped on at the same time. I am thinking at worse broken foot or high ankle sprain.

It was reported as a knee injury during the game.

The way his foot was stepped on limited his movement in a way that may have hurt the knee.

Everything on the leg is all connected and it's 1 moving thing.

We'll know what is going on probably on Saturday I would think.

Agree

if we don’t make the playoffs then McDermott should be canned

That’s BS!  Do we not remember the days of 7-9 Jauron?  The 17 year playoff drought?  Gregggggg Williams?

If they don’t make the playoffs, it’s partially because of all these injuries!

  • Simon changed the title to Von Miller knee injury (initial diagnosis is a knee sprain; more tests tomorrow)

Do you normally have to wait for the swelling to go down? However, the fact that he was seen walking around without an ice pack on his knee is encouraging.

I believe for an MRI you do. They’ll need one of those to determine extent of ( hopefully) sprain .

While everyone was screaming Tommy John for Josh Allen, my brother (physical therapist) was pretty convinced it was a low grade UCL and he’d likely miss 1-4 games… but as we know, Josh is an absolute freak.

He’s pretty convinced that was an MCL due to the inward bend of his knee by force.  Just have to see the extent.

Typically teams have an idea of if it may be an ACL by doing stability tests on the sideline.  The fact “cautiously optimistic” is being reported seems like they, at least, didn’t have the typical giveaway when doing initial tests.

Saw all this stuff too.

So we basically have:

1.  The "online doctors" claiming it's likely ACL based on watching videos.

2.  Rappaport saying it's most likely a sprain (based on his sources that had to come from someone close to the Bills team as opposed to someone watching a video)

So I guess I'll be cautiously optimistic too.

Sick of these MDs pre diagnosing the worst possible scenario without seeing any MRIs Xrays etc.  I swear some of them just do it for clicks

I agree with us. I think that there, but should be repercussions for trying to be the first one out there to report the worst possible bad news and being right if you’re wrong, it should go on your yelp reviews
