No one is gonna flip away from the Bills game to watch the Vikings game other than Eagles and Vikings fans. Well, unless the Bills are blowing them out, of course.

Only downside is that I have to listen to Aikman and Buck 🙄

Probably not - they'll likely do the ABC game

Memory may be failing, but I was pretty sure the Rams opening opponent was announced during the draft as a teaser and it was not Buffalo. I could have sworn it was a team from the AFC West, Chargers or Raiders stick in my mind.

ESPN has had some dog poo match ups the last couple of years. They have to like Buffalo vs Tenn early.

Concurrent MNF games is a bit of a head scratcher

They announced the 1st Amazon Prime game at the draft

That was the 1st TNF game on Amazon and it was Chargers vs KC

I hear several people saying this and my question is...why?

The Bills are a SB contender with an exciting team.  They will be on prime time at least 5-6 times.  In past years we've seen teams on primetime in successive weeks, plus there is an 11-day gap between these two games.

Honestly hope this is the case. Opening on TNF would be great since I have to be away that weekend, plus we’d get that nice mini-bye right before that big game at home.

I dont get what the NFL is thinking here. Eating into their own ratings.

NFL should be pushing for as little overlap as possible across all of their scheduling.

Disagree.  The NFL is likely thinking that the casual fan will be flipping between games...providing their advertisers with two channels of eyes during primetime.

It's no different than Sunday afternoons...the diehards of each team stay on their game, but everyone else is channel surfing.

Also, going back to your comment in the other (now closed) thread about why Bills/Rams won't be W1, I think the email and app notice from the Bills does not suggest what you say it suggests.  it is a general statement about "all home openers" being announced at 6 p.m. on Thursday in advance of the entire schedule.  Nothing hints or implies that the MNF game isn't the Bills home opener.

Should be a good early season litmus test for both teams and glad we finally have them back in Buffalo.

Just like with the Chiefs, the Titans are quietly one of the Bills biggest conference rivals given that we've pretty much played them every season since 2018. Titans have had the Bills number the last few years though so hopefully that can change now.

Brown and Julio off the Titans at home? Easiest win on the schedule.

The Titans were ravaged by injuries the last two times we played them and we still lost. In fact they had like half their team on the Covid list in 2020 when we had the worst game of that season by far.

Still think they are just a bad match up overall for the Bills similar to the Colts.

This was pre Josh turning into a Demi-God mid Bucs game and becoming an unstoppable human force. Bills by a billion

Sure hope so but we obviously aren't going 17-0 this year in the regular season....at least I think.

Assuming this was sarcastic. We’ve lost to TN the last two years in a row and after last season’s embarrassing lost against the JAG’s, I don’t take anytime for granted. Bill’s expectations are thru the roof, but one thing is certain, they better be ready to play EACH and EVERY week. The lost to TN and the Jags cost them the #1 seed last year.

Buffalo needs to score TD’s early and take away their running game.

Good.  I want run heavy teams to start the year with T. White’s uncertainty and Elam still learning in the fly.

Unless they go up on you by 10 early and can run on you all day and you can't stop them to get the ball back. I think you'd almost rather get in a shootout where the other team is scoring 42, but in less than five minutes a drive.

Scoring 7 points on a 12 min drive and getting one stop to give up 0 is the same as scoring 14 pts on two six minute drives, but giving up 7.

I have a feeling the bills defense will become very aggressive this season and play a wide 9 style like Schwartz did... they just have the offense to pull that strategy off now.

We took offensive and defensive linemen from the Titans specifically for them.

No longer are the bills going to be bullied at the LOS

Yep.  Henry killed us because we weren't as stout up front so we couldn't just allow our front 7 to stop him.  Now we are thicc.

Better get used to this.

I know a LOT of people will disagree, and that’s fine, but I like my Bills games on Sunday at 1:00 pm. There is an internal body clock and a certain rhythm to a Sunday game at that time.

For those of you who love the excitement and attention that comes with prime time games, you will be happy. I am the one who is going to have to adjust. The Bills are not only good, but they are fun to watch. There will be a LOT of prime time games in our future.

Definitely not any national media, but I assume at least half this forum? 😂

Beat me to it.  For sure, there are a bunch of people here who think we will go 17-0.

For me a  worst case/best case scenario for the Bills is 12-5 - 14-3. Anything less that 12 wins with this group would be disappointing assuming injuries don't play a factor.

That was my thought also.  I can't see them having the same team in a prime time game two weeks in a row.  But could this also be the home opener?  Meaning the Bills will be on the road somewhere else in week 1?

There have been many instances in recent seasons where a team plays on Sunday or Monday night and then plays on the other Primetime game the following week.

Why would they schedule a doubleheader with both games going on at the same time? The 2nd game should be a WC game.

They are expecting the Bills to blow out the Titans and the game to be over at the half.

We are going to beat the **** out of the Titans

We said that in 2020 when the Titans had their Covid problems, then last year we said we’d blow them out as payback for 2020…

that being said I think we will blow them out this time.
