When does McD go on the hot seat?

I dunno about all this Pederson talk and what not, but I do know Frank Reich is a much better head coach than mcd.  His team doesn't fall apart at the first sign of adversity, and he is plugging in qbs and safeties and ol and putting his team in a position to win.

Our team is just like the teams MCD was dc on before he got here.  Over all good solid teams, but front runners who don't take some push back well

Bills didn’t look good today.  However you have watched the last 3 years and the colts game last playoffs right?

Seriously....   Jesus man just stop....  he could lose the rest of the games this year and he not on the hot seat NOR should he.

maybe we should trade Josh, and diggs....  replace Beane while we are at it...

So expectations are where they should be?  I truly hope ownership does not feel the same way you do.

um, ya?

the colts out played us huge last year, in good weather, at home in the playoffs.  with the corpse of phil rivers at qb.  we got like one fortunate defensive stop late, and josh allen just went super sayin and blasted outside of the scheme passes to davis and others.

at this point right now, our coaching and to some extent roster balance (or lack there of) is having us perform below our talent level.

Lots of good teams have lost to bad teams this year.

The Colts have been on a roll for 6 games...it is what it is....time to move on to the Saints

The Colts are not 41-15 better than the Bills, even with the injuries. Colts secondary, like Jacksonville, was also missing key starters but it didn’t matter. Scheme is to blame.

You are not scheming your way out of not being able to stop the run.  Two very good running teams came in and destroyed the Bills.  You cant stop the run and lets face it not being able to run in a harsh weather environment is a major issue.  Look at Pittsburgh over the years.  This team has not been the same since the SB Bills.  They could run the ball.  This team cannot.

The Bills lead the league in penalties per game.

Plays are coming in late on offense and it's causing problems lining up and getting the snap off - see yesterday's false start where both Ford and Williams moved early because the clock was down to zero.

The weekly game plans reveal a staggering lack of respect for the opponent - they're trying to just do what they want without studying/accounting for the other teams' tendencies.

Allen has already given up on his line and is pressing every game.

There have been few consequences to negative plays like penalties and fumbles.

A decision was made to bring back the team's own free agents and continue to overpay veterans like Addison in an effort to show investment in the "process."

This is a talented team with an easy schedule in desperate need of detail-oriented coaching and it's obviously missing right now.

This year - granted we're only halfway through - has been a really, really bad look for McD.

MCD is 100% on the hot seat for this Thursdays game vs the Saints.

YOU DON'T GET YOUR ASS BEAT LIKE YESTERDAY AND GO INTO THE LOCKER ROOM AND NOT READ THE ENTIRE TEAM THE RIOT ACT!!!

NO CLAPPING ALLOWED!!!

If you don't think the players are starting to doubt them selves now,  I don't know what to say or tell you.

The coaching this year has been horrendous, ALSO AN EMBARRASMENT!!  Accept for just one game.  KC.

Blow out wins do not count,  in those games you should try different plays and personnel when a game is clearly going to be won.

This team never tries to do anything different week in and week out.  Why because watching this team the last 4 weeks has shown no differences with our play calling, defensive schemes and the over all coaching on this team.  The coaching is 100% stagnant.

This coaching staff is afraid of change and scared to make the tough decisions to fix the issues on offense, and at our RB position.

There are players on this team that need to be benched.  Both Singletary and Moss need to be backups.  Breida, if not given the #1 RB spot seals our playoff fate this year.  No playoff chances at all.

If you think we are going to beat NE without changing things up on the the roster and with our coaching philosophy, be prepared for a serious reality check.

Its not going to happen!!!  We will get trashed by NE and Bill B.

Jerry Hughes needs to be replaced at DE.  He has lost any and all advantage he had over the opponents offense's tackles.  Its been that way for more than 2 seasons now.

You have to really shake things up the next 7 games.

Ed Oliver needs to go to DE.  He is more physical and honestly his speed is deceptive and he can only do better at DE, he can't be any worse than what we have now at DE.

Buffalo needs to start addressing the line backers play.  They have not been able to stop the run at all. Case in point yesterday!!  Hello MCD and Frazier!!  How many times are  our safeties and DB's called on to stop the running backs that we constantly have had issues stopping.  No changes in our D scheme and it shows.  Loss after loss after loss because of this unwillingness to change because of our coaching.

This is the linebackers' job.  We should have never resigned Milano and we should not resign Edmunds either.  Our line backing core scares no one.  They can't stop the run and they are getting mauled by teams that can run the ball physically.  That is Beane's fault for not identifying this and addressing the soft nature of this defense.

The only reason this team has the defensive stats it has this year is due to the caliber of the teams we beat, they were all bad teams accept for KC, Tenn and Indy.

This D is not top 10 D.    Not against Titans, Not against the Colts.   The level of the competition has padded our stats.  Like I said we have not beaten a team with a winning record.

That means we are not a playoff team period!!!!

They lead the entire league in penalties?  Stubborn play calling and defensive schemes that include the nickel packages mixed with zone defense no matter what?  Sean doesn’t care because he gets a paycheck no matter what.  He had no feel for the game whatsoever in going for that long field goal in bad weather yesterday.  And circling back to the penalties.. we lead the entire league thru week 11?  Will we lead the league thru week 17?  Something to root for I guess.

Jokes aside Sean has been brutal this season and the team is winning some games despite him.  That’s right I said it.

You'd have to be an idiot to think that the 2nd best Gm/Head Coach combo in Bills history should be something to consider doing away with after a loss while underway in a season at 6-4 when the beast record in the entire conference is 7-3.

No, this was because of yet another failed attempt at a hard count by Allen. Just run the damn play and stop trying to trick the d-line. It ain't working.

Where was he yesterday??  He was hurt again and a non factor.  He has a bad track record at staying healthy.

Since 2017 he has missed 11 games due to injury.  That is not counting any injury's and missed playing time this year.   3 games not started and counting.

He is 51st in the league this year for LB's in tackles "33 total".   He only 41st with 12 assisted tackles and this was all prior to yesterdays game.

He is not even in the top 75 players this year for tackles by a defensive player.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/player/_/view/defense/table/defensive/sort/totalTackles/dir/desc

Hardly worth the ROI on the $44 Mil contract Buffalo is paying him.

McDermott is in the extremely safe category for now...  I would say even if they lose all 7 of their remaining games (they wont), he wont get fired, and doubt it will even be considered.  Some media may start to mention its a possibility.

If they crater this season (miss the playoffs), and next season doesn't go well, I think the conversation will probably need to be had.

It was a hard count with the play clock down close to zero.  Too much chaos in a critical situation - coaches should be keeping things simple there.  Greg Roman got fired midseason for similar antics.

? - he is without a doubt one of the best cover LBs in the league. The passer rating against him this season is 73.3, which is exceptional for a linebacker.  It was 70.9 last year. By way of comparison, Devin White, who everyone thinks is great in coverage, has a rating of 96.9 against him this season and was at 109.6 last year.

Milano is paid the way he is because he is elite in coverage for a LB.

I’d love to see some defensive innovation from McD and Frazier. You’re going against a strong run team, put more defenders in the box on early and running downs. Why not run a 5-2 with either Hyde or Poyer in the box as an 8th defender? The 4-2 nickel scheme wasn’t working and they stubbornly stuck with it.

No hot seat till he misses the playoffs. If that happens, he gets next year to solidify his job. He has underachieved and Dabol has Josh's support or he's out the door this offseason with the unimaginative playcalling and not dressing Breida until week 10. Frazier should be replaced because this group does not tackle or play defense without fouling.

If we don't make the playoffs or back in and go one and done, then yes it's time to have a serious discussion about their long time viability starting with the Pegulas calling them out for their failure this year and steadfast determination to bring back the same team from last year.

It's all about results in this league and if we believe Allen is a franchise QB you don't want to waste valuable years with a Marvin Lewis type of coach. You make the move sooner than later to replace him with a capable HC and GM that can elevate this franchise and as of today I don't believe this regime is capable of winning a championship.

McD’s lack of offensive knowledge and inability to supervise his OC is killing the team. I see a HC who still believes having an elite defense will win a championship.

At some point, Beane needs to make it clear they are an offensive team.  Specifically, that they win with Allen and supporting him.  Not having a balanced team that invests equally on both sides of the ball. Not confident McClappy can change his spots at this point in his career.

I wouldn't even consider it a hot seat for it least a couple years.  I honestly think that he and Beane knew about these issues last year but couldn't find a suitable fix during the off season either because trades fell through, no cap space, or players they wanted weren't available in the draft.  Give them a chance.  We are still loads better then most of the other teams I've had the "privelidge" of watching in my 13 years as a dead on ticket holder

The difference may be that the Bills reportedly have one of the lowest vax rates in the league.    If only 60-70% are vaxxed.........that's a lot of unvaccinated players.

The Bucs are 100% vaccinated behind VERY outspoken, public, and clear-cut direction from Arians. The Patriots are also one of the top vaccinated teams behind Belichick's approach. None of that "respecting decision" garbage. Take the politics and fear-mongering propaganda out of it, it's about availability and winning. A completely opposite approach from what our coach and players took. Team-first vs Player-first.

It's hardly the only, or even main, issue. But there is no way it hasn't contributed to at least a minor rift in the locker room, regardless of what players say in press conferences.

And rift or not, has now hampered our team in at least 2 games, which greatly contributed to losing.

Starts at the top with leadership.

Edit: A preemptive "save your puke faces". Facts dont care about how you feel about the vaccines. Like it or not, this is about availability and being committed to winning, and it is what it is.

There comes a time when a linebacker needs to make plays at the line of scrimmage.  Yeah he had good years in 2018 and 2019.  But a LB's job is to get tackles for losses and at or around the line of scrimmage, stuffs and run stopping ability.  Devin White does this,  Milano can't do this consistently the past two years,  not anymore.  I don't care if he can cover a running back out of the backfield or tight end because that is not the problem, neither of our line backers are disruptive enough on a consistent basis at the line of scrimmage, thus our running defense 's kryptonite.  Here you go....

White in 3 years is only 13 tackles behind Milano total for his career, and white has played 26 fewer games than Milano.
