Hart is gone, and Wildgoose who dared to wear OJ’s #32 is gone.

I’m good with this, thank you Beane!

I'm thinking Wildgoose ends up on the PS. Thinking they might bring Hodgins to the PS, too

Really happy to see Stevenson and Brieda stick around. We need the speed.

Does Brieda even get activated on game days? With Singletary, Moss and Jones being activated, would they really have 4?

Reid Ferguson doing the vet/re-sign move is a bit strange.  He just signed a 3 year contract extension with 650k in signing bonus.

I want to see how much he got paid for this move on his new contract.

He definitely flew under my radar as a guy who would do this.  Good for him being a team guy!

Any word on what is happening with Hollister? I know he got cut. Not sure if he will be re-signed tomorrow.

Just interesting that Sweeney made it

Sweeney had to initially make it in order to go on IR, if that’s the plan.

They get a little extra money to do this. As long as both sides agree this is certain to happen, and his money is now guaranteed, it’s no real sacrifice. It’s better for player.

Hodgins is tough loss.  Giles Harris will play defensive snaps in the league this year.  And Josh Thomas probably won't make it through waivers.

I mean there is a chance Thomas doesn't make it through but I suspect he does. A second year player who was an UDFA (and not even a priority one, he signed with the Bills a week or so after the draft) is unlikely to get signed to an active 53 man roster based on a couple of promising pre-season games. Now of course he could sign for someone else's practice squad rather than come back here... but I suspect he is on our PS. Agree on Giles Harris. I am very meh on Hodgins.

Yep. It’s 16 players this year so possibly. Webb is almost a lock.

I'm curious if there's a similar reserve Covid designation like last year? It would be cruel, but I wouldn't be surprised if Fromm had that same role this year.

Typically not is my guess.  Will be game plan and/or injury dependent.

I think it's safe to say that Reid Ferguson "took one for the team" and got cut so someone else could go on IR and re-sign

Question is: who?

It's not Hodgins.

Jaquan Johnson, Marquez Stevenson, Tommy Sweeney, Harry Phillips  all options

And in the least surprising news of the day.... Taiwan Jones is on the team.

So we now have 5 RB's on the team, yes I include Gilliam as a RB.

Is Breida going to be inactive all season?

Good question. They kept most of the same rules as last year from the PS. Not sure about that one.

Harrison Phillips maybe?

I’m glad they booted Fromm.

He’s the type of QB the old Bills would have hung onto and talked about how much he has grown.

PS almost for sure.  He might actually get a bump from the minimum to sign.

with Reid’s expected return, the ONLY thing I’m concerned with is just 5 CBs. I get that the high number of LBs remain for STs. But we must be expecting a certain CB to join the team.

Sources from deep within??

I'm waiting to see when all the dust clears how much cap Beane has to work with.

If he goes out of house for anything I think it could be a CB.

At least it's a hope of mine.

To me the biggest surprise, albeit a small one, is they kept 6 LBs (Dodson), and only 5 CBs!

Interesting, but the QB’s they face this year are not great and they face more run first/TE teams.

My guess is we see a lot more base 4-3 defense this year with NE, NYJ, Miami, Tennessee- all run heavy and short pass oriented.

I honestly don't believe he was ever on the bubble for the powers that be inside the building. They held him out until game 3 just like they did with all their other untouchables and people created all sorts of narratives as to why his holding out was different to all the others. It wasn't. He was on their untouchable list.

Neither did I. Second stint with the team. ST captain. He wasn’t going anywhere.
