Please dress Yeldon

Recommended Posts

From week 1 last year I have been asking for Yeldon. I’m not sure why a team would carry a veteran RB on the roster (for 2 years) if they won’t make him active? It’s pointless. This guy has good vision and burst. He’s one of the best pass catching RBs in Football. Yeldon also has good size and speed. Please give this guy a shot. The guys we have aren’t made to run out of shotgun and 11 personnel. Let’s see what 22 can do

Man I can't agree more! The guy continually produces positive plays when he is in there. This coaching staff would not know talent if it hit them in the face. I have lost all respect for every one of them.

Do we have guards who are better too?  Do they kick Williams inside and start nsekhe until Felecianos back?  Winters sucks, ford is probably going to miss time, spains hurt.

All offseason everyone complained that he was a fumbler.  Now the regular guys can't find space so... he must be able to find space?

From a skill standpoint I agree.

I think McDermott doesn't trust him in terms of fumbles.

Every since he fumbled a year ago, his time has been reduced to emergency fill-in.

But I agree, Singletary and Moss are not doing anything right now behind that offensive line.

My guess is that McDermott regards him as a fumbler. That doesn’t fly with McDermott.

I’m not sure there is any valid reason for concern over Yeldon’s fumbling. Yeldon has never had more than 2 fumbles in a season while Singletary recorded 4 fumbles last year. My guess is that this team seems to force their top draft picks onto the field at times without them always earning it.

Think about Zay Jones, he was pretty bad but played right away and often. Oliver was playing over Phillips early last year until it was too obvious to ignore that Oliver needed to take a step back and regroup. Look at Cody Ford l, they have forced him into spots across the line at the expense of other veterans who have been productive. AJ is now playing a at end and I have not seen much to warrant any action. And Moss is plugged in right away but has shown little burst. He runs hard but has not been very productive while Yeldon has been productive whenever called upon.

for real.  For the guy who was going to run through people and be thunder to Singletary's lightning, he looks more like a low end frank gore

I see it too. But not only draft picks. McD has favourites who can't produce (Gore, Di Marco, Murphy, bunch of ex-Panthers). Why they don't see  Yeldon deserves more time? He made good carries and great long TD catch. I doubt Moss could catch it.

They can't recoginze talent. I am still emotional they let go Jordan Philips who was the best our DL last season and gave almost the same money he wanted to Butler and other garbage who cant't worry a QB

He was supposed to be a steal in the draft. Be a hammer. Be either the perfect complement to Motor or even oust him as #1. He's been as disappointing as DAvis as been a pleasant surprise.

Yeah, "Business Decisions" my azz.  My business decision would be to bench him and put Yeldon in

They need to set up Moss 7 yards deep and feed him with some hammering runs.

Daboll always has him right next to Josh in the shotgun and he's starting from a dead stop w these draw play handoffs.

Moss had a great power move on that 3rd and 1, no way Motor gets that 1st down there.

These dead stop draw handoffs do not work with slow burst RB's like Devin & Zack. Get Josh behind center and tell your worthless o lineman to start opening some holes.

Moss and Singletary are kind of the same, both could be a compliment to somebody else. Neither are a workhorse back that should get 50%+ of the carries.

I agree that was his best run as a Bill. Still....

Been pretty disappointed in Moss to this point though I admittedly had high expectations of him. Singletary has been pretty good though IMO. The run blocking has been atrocious.

I would tend to agree the OP's reasoning of "Why would you carry a vet RB for two years just to make him inactive the whole time", but I would point to that as the logic for simply moving on rather than activating him to give him more time. Yeldon is not good. Singletary is good IMO. Moss might be in time.

YES!

CAN WE PLEASE GIVE YELDON SOME TOUCHES!!!

Myself personally, the good hands Yeldon could have made the difference in the KC game IMO. Yeldon needs to be utilized as a 3rd down specialist. The running game needs Yeldons change of running style to keep the oppositions D on its heels in my humble opinion. The Bills must see the potential or he wouldn't be here.

His style of running is a better fit against the type of 2-deep shell w/spy kind of defenses the Bills have been seeing.

Our line has been unable to sustain their run blocks and have lacked leverage and finish the past few games, but there usually is a small gap of daylight early when they first get into a defender. This is where a back that just hits his assigned gap quickly and tries to break through the line, then make guys miss is an asset.

I like them both on the field as their styles of running would be complimentary, but agree that having Yeldon in the backfield may make defenses rethink keeping both safeties deep, or they may swap one for an extra backer - that could open up options deep for Allen.

That was a great effort.  I was shocked with that 2nd effort. I thought “ ooooooook moss, I see you.”

I get it, but at the same time the OL hasn't exactly been blocking very well up front either for both RBs. Although Yeldon has made a few good plays here an there. Hope JF makes it back and maybe we will see a difference in that area. Hope so anyways.

No... Dawkins, Morse and Williams have been good so far. They’ve done a real good job giving Josh Allen a pocket to step into. I think RT is a far more important position than RG.. You can pancake weaker guards between your tackles and center, it can mask a mediocre guard’s talent to some degree...

I would of enjoyed seeing more of Yeldon instead of Gore last year and I think he should dress ahead of Moss for the next few games

this season.  Yeldon IMO is a decent RB.  He would give some confidence to Josh in the screen game too which I think Josh needs.

They’ve been good at pass blocking.  I agree that we should keep those guys where they are, but they haven’t been run good run blocking. The unit in terms of run blocking is embarrassing and our run game reminds me of 2018.  Just pathetic.
