sherpa
Has anyone else seen enough of this punk? Last night was typical for his "coached" teams. The NFLPA ought to send owners a statement that nobody will play for him. He is a threat to the career of anyone on the opposing team. At a minimum, with the game out of hand, which his often are, some offense should run a play that ends up with a full speed tight end running over him on the sideline. The man is disgusting, and its been going on for a long time.

It seems to be common knowledge that he coaches dirty. To hear Steve Smith shred him the way he did on national TV was a "wow" moment for me, only in the sense that to me Steve Smith comes across as a "players player", someone who doesn't run his mouth, or put anyone, be it a player or a coach, out there, for any reason. Greggo must be really loathed, IMO. Wondering if there might be any forthcoming fines/suspensions for coach Williams?

Don Otreply
A leopard does not change its spots, as it were. He is a potential law suit waiting to happen, and it will involve the league office/owners, being the owners are the league office... a quality law firm would have a field day tracing his activities, and a suddenly unemployable former player due to wrongful injury may make a call to such a firm. Even a letter from a law firm on behalf of one or more players to the commissioner might prompt his exit from the league. One can only hope such a Letter is sent.

Punching Bag
Where is a the tell-all book from an ex-player of his? If he is instructing players to play like this, and I cannot see a coach doing it when game is out of reach except for division rival, one of the cut/traded/retired players would be having someone ghost write a book for him and he would be selling it. I think is more what he does not say.

TroutDog
I did not watch the entire game but what I saw was appalling and completely consistent with his defenses. Truly grotesque. The days of Lambert playing with a broken leg, Alzado trying to literally maim people and (as mentioned in another thread) Conrad Dobler trying to inflict bodily harm are over. How about this, Greg: teach players discipline and your system and let them play within the bounds of the rules? What an a** hat.
SinceThe70s
I kind of expect him to finish out the season as Jets head coach. Hope it doesn't happen and the Jets front office thinks its best to maintain continuity with Gase.
Rocky Landing
The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if the undisciplined thuggery isn't the Jets chosen method of tanking their season? The Dolphins started out last year by selling off all their best players, and installing Josh Rosen under center with less protection than he had in Arizona. Eventually, the NFL competition committee got involved. These Jets seem to be losing by utterly undisciplined coaching, and sheer thuggery. Eleven penalties for -118 yards, including six personal fouls, and giving the Broncos seven first downs, and clearly giving them the lead. Pretty crappy way to lose, but harder for the competition committee to call out.

Jerome007
Even against the Bills, we could see a few questionable hits, and the camera chosen by the TV crew immediately was the one on him. His reputation is way too well known. Why the hell is he still in the league? It's almost disgusting, really. As a player, you can surely justify playing for a cheater that wins like Bellichick... but for a guy that wants you to injure others? On losing teams no less? Not so sure...
