Popular Post H2o
Against a team he was supposed to put up good numbers against, Allen comes through. Stat line: 21-33 for 256 yards and 3 TD'S 7 carries for 56 yards and 1 TD 7.8 yards per att and 117.7 rtg He was calm in the pocket, went to his 2nd and 3rd read, put a lot of passes right on the money so the WR could get YAC, beat the blitz on a number of occasions, used his legs when the opportunity presented itself, and he didn't throw an INT for the 5th straight game. The young man is growing as a QB and that should be evident to all. 46 8

LEBills
You’ll never get it here my friend. While there are many, like me that agree with you, some here like being party poopers too much. But you know what’s up, Allen has done a good job in year 2. That’s all that matters.
Buffalo_Stampede
I mean no one is calling for him to be benched, but many are waiting for that signature game. This isn't it. Beat Denver and then go play well on the road vs Dallas. 4
Doc Brown
He's better than I thought he'd be at this point when we drafted him. He was such a raw prospect that I've been pleasantly surprised with his slow but steady growth. Throwing it away when it's not there and his accuracy on short to intermediate throws is very encouraging.

There will be ups and downs with the rest of this year and next. He's doing a great job, I am so encouraged with what I'm seeing. When was the last time we could feel fine with 2nd and 20? We can convert just about any long down scenario. I think that alone should tell the haters/doubters a ton. 13

There were numerous people calling for his head and starting threads about which QB we should go after in the offseason.

That said, nobody is going to change their mind over a big game against a bottom-feeder. He'll have plenty of opportunities over the next six* weeks to show how far he's come. * Really ten weeks of course.

He checked into a good run that beat the Blitz and showed a vet throw to make an easier field goal on a field goal drive. Probably his best game as a Bill. There are things to consider aswell. It was the Dolphins of which Allen has always played well and there were a couple of quick 3 and outs with inaccurate passes that we tend to see more of on some days. This was a good day in the main! . Lets keep it balanced. Edited November 17, 2019 by london_bills
GunnerBill
Today was probably his best game. I don't think anyone sensible would dispute there has been progress from last year. That said, in the same way as nobody was asking to bench him last week nobody should be crowning him this week. This was a very encouraging performance now we need to see that consistency game to game.
Rock-A-Bye Beasley
I mean sure, the "detractors" can admit when he has a good game. I see no reason why not. Can you admit when he has a bad one? Or is "detractor" just another term for someone who doesn't pretend they don't see the bad games/throws? 3 1
CodeMonkey
He had a very good game today. Consistent, no big mistakes. Against a team where you would expect (and need) that kind of performance. The difficult part of the schedule is coming up. If he has this kind of performance against the ravens and cowgirls and basically the remaining schedule, then there should be no more detractors. I understand your point, but if he hadn't had this type of performance today the Nancy's would have been out in full force. He's improving as a QB and not turning it over in the process. In the last 6 games he has 10 TD's to 1 INT and he has led the team to more W's than we had all of last season in just 10 games.

As you know at least one critic admitted this past week he only shows up when the team loses. Pathetic really. Solid game byAllen today.
Kelly the Dog
The Dolphins are a bad defense. That is a factor. Its also a factor that this is the first game the OL gave him consistent blocking and time. He had no sacks or fumbles or interceptions. And scrambled well. That is also a factor. This game also showed that he has one WR and one only, although Beasley is a decent complementary slot guy. And maybe arguably a decent TE. I thought Daboll was awful and entirely predictable and they did well despite him not because of him. This is is a very good game considering all those factors.

JerseyBills
F the Hate or Josh played GREAT. Dabol got him going with easy throws , fed Singletary , took some pressure off Allen's shoulders and he responded with some great throws and decisions. If we can produce this type of offense on a somewhat weekly basis, we can be a legit contender in the AFC. Can't wait for Bal in 2 weeks

As is often the case when the offense shines, the QB gets all the credit but can we give a nod to the offensive line? Josh had all day to throw. london_bills
My favourite two plays were: 1. When he waited and waited on the balls of his feet in the pocket and threw a 3rd down pass(I think) to brown in the centre of the field. Great presence. 2. The touchdown to Knox where he waited patiently and threw a calm simple pass for the TD.

Bookie Man
He is showing improvements weekly. He was a physical specimen. Athletic freak, but very raw. If he can keep improving week to week, of course there will be some setbacks, I think he can be very good. I still can't say for sure though that he is the long term solution. transplantbillsfan
It's not just today, though. In the last 6 games since the NE game Allen has 10 passing TDs, 1 INT along with 4 rushing TDs and 1 lost fumble. So in 6 games, Allen has accounted for 14 TDs and 2 Turnovers. 4
