I got to think if the Bills did get up on the Pats by 14 they would pour it on, right?! I see teams rack up 30-40 points a game and always say to myself, when will our Bills do the same. I do believe that Daboll was saving the playbook for this week. I do think as a few have suggested, that they have been saving a good amount of plays and formations out of the playbook though just so they can try and confuse Marcia. The D-Fense will need to be able to get to Marcia and knock him around a bit early in the game to get him rattled. Hopefully make him throw some early balls for INT's. They'll probably have a few exotic blitzes as well, but don't expect much in the way of blitzing as he tends to burn defenses that way. Praying for a big game in a 3 phases of the game this week. We will break trends. If we are going to be frank here, Daboll has kept his game planning for the whole year under wraps. They have played with a different set of plays and playcalling throughout the entire year. I havent seen that from a Bills OC in quite some time. My guess is that he will bring in less new plays and playcalling than he has even though I do think he will have quite a few new looks NE hasnt seen yet but will reintroduce the ones that have worked best so far against the defensive formations they anticipate. My guess is they didn't want to give them much to study in preparation. Our offense stunk in both games last year. If we can get to 20 points I think we'll win the game. As for sandbagging, I do wonder if all those East-West Jet sweeps and QB runs last week weren't setting up the flea flicker for this week. I want the bomb back in this offense now and then. We threw three "bombs" last week...none of them connected. We have thrown "bombs" every week...none of them connected. We will break trends. Daboll certainly knows Belichick better than any former Patriots player could. One could say it goes the other way too, but Daboll has experienced some other influences since his Patriot days. Knowing that Belichick will try to take away from the offense that which Josh Allen is most comfortable doing, I expect Daboll will work at getting Josh comfortable with some other things. I think some of what Buffalo has done on offense since last season was done with an eye toward the Patriots. His average punt wasn't great but that's because he was dealing with a short field; touchback vs inside the 20. he was also dealing with the wind. so 60% of his punts were inside the 20 and fair caught, the other 2 (40%) averaged 4 total yards. i'm not sure you classify that as bad when looking at punting standards. now, if you want to change the NFL wide punting standards of 'inside the 20' metric to 'inside the 10' then that needs to be done across the board and look at all punters then. I'm not insinuating he had a great game, but i think we need to temper ourselves on what we call bad, he did more than enough to contribute to the win and certainly wasn't a factor in a potential loss. lastly, not on Bojo - the hold that called back the return TD was just that, a hold and it nullified the play meaning it NEVER happened, any 'what if' has no relevance. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Well, I would love to see Eddy O line up as a DE, juke inside, turn, and LEVEL PEDelman as he tries to sneak just behind the line, and sit in a zone hole (within 5 yards of the line, and completely legally, of course). I just want to see that whimpering, drugged-up rat shown that this Bills team are a bunch of mean mo'fo's, and we aren't going to let him and his pick-play cheatery go unpunished. What over 75% of the starters are new not to mention from what John Brown has said it's not that simple of an offense. I think as the year goes on this offense is going to start clicking more and more. It felt like they were real close last Sunday and somewhat that having Yeldon instead of Singeltary kind of threw a monkey wrench into it. I actually think there is some truth to that in that the offense is still somewhat shaky so feel like OK we hve the lead, lets not do anything stupid to let them back in the game. But by becoming too conservative the other team and mistakes have allowed the other team to get back in it.
