We all have our favorites but I'll trust the specialists.  My only beef with the "god" that is Beane is him not getting anything for Shady last year or this offseason.

Backs don’t get much these days, but something still could have been had some point. I find it hard to believe they haven’t been down on Shady for a while. I really doubt that parting with Shady isn’t something that hasn’t thought of before. This sort of cut doesn’t just happen out of nowhere.

I don’t understand why they didn’t trade him last off-season prior to the rebuilding year. Keeping a high priced vet through a year they knew would be a struggle only to cut him the next season is confusing to me.

He certainly had a good presaeson. I wouldn't mind seeing him re signed .

Why not give him a year to, you know, learn to play football?

Agreed. Neal has versatility.

The roster lists Neal as a safety for now but they have been playing him as more of a slot corner/big nickel.  That seems to be why the roster looks out of balance with 5 CB and 5 Safety’s listed.

Maybe. He is a threat in the passing game. The Bills May be able to deal one of these guys.....or Kroft may not be as healthy as reported.

Either Croom or Kroft is going on IR is my guess.

Yup.  I'd like to know the details of the trade offers (if any) Beane received last year.

How is Corey B. still on this roster

Hauschka must love him as a holder or something.  Maybe that’s been playing into it.  But his punting will get him kicked off the roster

Only until they claim a better option.

its croom its already been announced there putting him on IR tomorrow and re signing Kurt Coleman

Yep, however on the merits, there's no sense keeping Croom.

From what ive seen Conner McD is a great locker room guy, that may have kept him around

So he basically won his roster spot because his clapping skills are even better than his dad's...

I know the NFL is trending toward OT's being more valuable than RB's, but I personally would have kept future Hall of Famer Shady over a marginal tenth OL.

Consistency is Corey's issue

Would explain why they're scared to put him on the active roster on Sundays.

Looking at the 53 it’s interesting to note that they’ve got exactly two players at every roster spot with the exception of TE where they loaded up big time with all of the extra guys. I’m not sure I understand that philosophy or if it says something about the coming year. I’d like to know what others on here think.
