My son and I drive up every year for the last home game from NC. Know the terrible events of Monday has cast shadow over pending schedule and didn't see post for upcoming game. If the TBD gang is going to be in front at Hammer's would love to be able to return this year with our annual donation of NC Pulled Pork BBQ sliders for the other TBD attendees. Uh ... maybe because they're in our division ... I haven't had chance to look at their schedule and always like to see (granted similar non conf opponents) ... plus ala below's comment .. and to be clear not doing this with non division team schedules, but nice to benchmark where other division teams may end up after regular season concludes. Agreed ... 7-9 I don't see ... I just don't think Gase is that strong ... sign me up for the "under".

Gunner ... answer me this .. I know not your call but why carry 4 TE's on roster ... I get 3 TE sets but damn .. can't we line up a G or something in that set vs. carrying a TE .. I don't recall Smith as a Special Teams ace last year and believe he had more penalties than catches.. It just befuddles me as to why we carry 4 when we can backfill other positions and run a bigger jumbo package .... or put TE #4 on the practice squad.

I think we all need to WOOOSAHHH .. Look at the OL in 2018 ... though not complete .. I loved our 2019 version YOY .... we have a ALL PRO team compared to below. Pro Football Focus (PFF) is aware of the Bills' changes along the offensive line. The analytics site ranked every NFL offensive line and Buffalo's 2018 unit came in at No. 29 on the list. Here is what PFF had to say about the Bills' offensive line. PROJECTED STARTING LINEUP: Left Tackle: Dion Dawkins, 74.5 overall grade Left Guard: Vladimir Ducasse, 75.5 Center: Russell Bodine, 46.8 Right Guard: John Miller, 39.1 Right Tackle: Jordan Mills, 65.7

I also believe we will see some trade ups .. as I don't think the 2020 Bills Roster (what a wonderful thing to say after all these years) needs 7 additional players (# of remaining draft picks) given current roster with FA pick ups to date and return of Vosean. Grab a RB, DE, WR, DB and call it a day. Start with 7 .. trade up and take 4.

Appears two respected TBD draft posters whom do great work for this board have us both going defensive secondary. Just curious is this more BPA or are you both highlighting what you/Beane believes to be primary draft focus with first available pick? Guess my head was around WR (given well documented depth .. meaning a fairly good player should be there at 54), even after the Diggs trade or RB to assist Singletary. Given all our defensive FA signings vs. offense, was guessing we'd stick to offense come draft time to help Josh. If defense, then was thinking DE before secondary.

This thread prompted me to look around the internet .. as if its on the internet it must be true and found this link from footballoutsiders. I was a fan of many of our moves last year (especially Morse and Mongo -- who I really appreciate his finishing of blocks) and do believe it takes time for all the new players to gel. That said, I didn't realize below as it relates to our running game, especially with Shady and his dancing behind the line gone in 2019. https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/nfl/offensive-line/2019 We ranked 28th in the run stuffing category and 25th in the "Power Category" rating on running ratings. On pass protection, some of the 40 sacks also shown here .. I place on Josh not getting rid of the ball. Stuffed: Percentage of runs where the running back is tackled at or behind the line of scrimmage. Since being stuffed is bad, teams are ranked from stuffed least often (#1) to most often (#32). Power Success: Percentage of runs on third or fourth down, two yards or less to go, that achieved a first down or touchdown. Also includes runs on first-and-goal or second-and-goal from the two-yard line or closer. This is the only statistic on this page that includes quarterbacks. Look forward to looking better in these categories in 2020.

Don't worry whatsoever about our "Beane Counter" as it relates to Cap Management .. especially as we had ZERO cap a few years ago ... now we actually have one to manage.

So we don't have the cap space to afford Flacco or better said .. I'd prefer our remaining cap to go to other priorities (i.e. - resign Tre) .. that said ... if you said you said who's a better mentor for Allen .. I'd take Flacco over Barkley any day. I like Barkley and he's done great and is great locker room and team guy ... but he hasn't put a team on his back and reached the pinnacle. Again think long term development for Josh, and frankly I think if Josh is injured ... Flacco vs Barkley is a coin flip ... though I believe Flacco's arm is closer to Josh than Barkley (who is a throw to a window QB). 2012 season: En route to winning Super Bowl XLVII and Super Bowl MVP, Flacco was 317-of-531 for 3,817 yards, 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. I'll take the 2019 5th round pick from Florida please ... hopefully coming back from injury and ready to contribute in 2020.

I'm more about value and production. Freeman & Gurley show what happens when sign a big contract and get injured. Gordon didn't show squaduskie after he sat out and was playing for a contract and Fubarred and can't even get back what the Chargers offered him prior to holdout. Hyde (my vote) has flipped a few teams and was very productive last year for Texans and will come much more economically. Lamar ... no votes and I agree at time of this typing.
