Jpsredemption
Save for the Miami game .. in which he also had a couple of passes go through his hands .. this guy has been atrocious over nearly two years. He is not going to help Allens cause with his wild play. If it's me I'm looking to replace him at all costs this offseason.

VaMilBill
Yeah. There is no question. Usually WRs make the biggest jump going into their third season but that’s because it’s mebtally hard to grasp concepts. But dropping balls and weak hands is such a basic fundamental that if he can’t fix that, he’s worthless. Plus he doesn’t really ever make contested catches
Bangarang
He’s unreliable catching the ball which is often the kiss of death for young receivers. Can’t imagine he sees the end of his rookie deal with us.

BillsFan130
He’s had a very disappointing career so far with the exception of a few games. Struggles to create separation and has a hard time catching passes. Not exactly an ideal combination for a receiver....

Allen gave him 2 (or was it 3) very catchable balls, of the sort that Golladay hauled in for Stafford today. And he didn't put up much of a fight for them.

blacklabel
I feel like Zay fights himself a lot. Might be thinking too much and not allowing himself to just zone in and play fast. Has the ability just hasn't figured out how to reach it on a consistent basis. And any Bills receiver is just gonna have to work to get used to "area code" throws from Allen. Meaning, the ball placement isn't always gonna be on the money but it will be in the vicinity (the area code) and will need to be adjusted to in order to catch. Even so, I saw a handful of decently placed throws from Josh today that guys just dropped. My Christmas wish might be to see coaching upgrades in the receiver, OL and special teams areas of the team. JerseyBills
he has regressed as the season progressed, Foster and McKenzie have both lapped Zay in just a few weeks , great finds by e front office! Can't believe this Foster kid wasn't even starting at Alabama. 3 straight 100 yard games!
The Now Moment
Zay is a slot. He could be a very good slot I think but he's a slot. If you want to call that the number 3, sure whatever. He has no business facing another team's number 1 corner. 5
BobDVA
Zay is taking all the double coverage the last couple games. this is why Foster is able to run free. I expect Bellacheat will be double covering Foster most of the time and leaving Gilmore to cover Jones all day. I think Zay will do better next week.

Phil The Thrill
Slot or on the outside....it won’t matter because he keeps dropping passes. He can make catches if he’s wide open, but seems to have some really bad drops. I think his play this year warrants a roster spot but the Bills better bring in some competition at WR

ILBillsfan
Well now that there is no true number one WR on this team Zay is drawing the other teams best corner presently so he is struggling. I don't expect Zay to win those match ups. he has had an ok sophomore year and I think when the Bills get back to having a number one WR he will make a nice #2 or #3 option for Josh. brianthomas
Me personally I just think Zay would be better off in the slot. Asking him to be on the outside where he doesnt have great size or speed, where he can't get good separation, just doesnt seem to be working out... as many probably would have expected. Put him in a slot role, where he runs slants over the middle of the field & i think he can be serviceable. But yeah dude hasn't lived up to his draft position & he's mos def not a #1 wr. He's not even a #2 imo
billsbackto81
I still hold out hope for Zay. He's had his moments. It's really not his fault he was overdrafted which is the standard many here hold him to. That being said next season is a show up or ship out for Zay.

1st&ten
After seeing a couple of his college games & the senior bowl I was hoping the Bills could get him-----but he's been a major disappointment .
