BuffaloRush
Interesting appearance from Sal Carpaccio today. He shared his plan for 2019 to help rescue the Bills offense. He thinks the Bills can fill a few holes on the OL in Free Agency. But that the Bills need to acquire an “elite” WR. He mentions they really should focus on finding 1 good WR instead of several good ones ones. He believes 1 good WR would help improve the performance of other receivers on the offense. A hilarious moment occurred when Jeremy asked Sal where they would find an elite WR to which Sal said “I don’t know.” LOL. Not sure what the WR class is like in 2019, but they have a very good chance to nab a top WR For Allen he believes the most important part will be how he processes defenses. He already has the physical tools and probably won’t even be a pinpoint accurate passer. But he needs to show he can understand defenses. JoPar_v2
I mean Sal’s not wrong. Jeremy’s question was stupid - obviously you “find one” either in the draft or through free agency. No one in today’s league is going to trade a great WR1 unless they are a serious malcontent or outright criminal. God I hate Jeremy White. 5
Bangarang
There are probably another 2 dozen teams also looking to acquire an elite WR. I feel like we’ve been talking about finding a #1 WR for a really long time.

If i were the Bills I would trade down a few spots, take a good offensive player and get another high draft pick to draft another one, maybe a guard, center or tackle. Comparing one to and being equal to one are two totally different things. Yes Sal. We need a stud WR. We also need other WRs and TE’s and RBs and OL

RobbRiddick
I know this would be a LONG shot and you'd have to find someone willing to trade up but if it were me and we had a REALLY high pick I'd trade down and grab someone's second. In fact if I went from, say, pick 3 to pick 9, I would consider trading down again to maybe the late teens. At this point I'd just try and accumulate as many picks in the first three rounds as I could and completely rebuild that O-line, mixed with some veteran leadership via FA. Grab a couple of WRs and maybe a TE. I'd try and draft two wideouts in the first three rounds, and also get at least one through FA. Three o-linemen, two via FA. A TE, some depth at CB somewhere along the way - I do trust this regime at picking up defensive backs, even in the later rounds. Easy to say but that would be how I'd attack it. I see the logic of going after a 'superstar' WR high in the draft but they are notorious for taking a while to develop in many cases, so I'd rather improve the talent in many areas right across the offense.

If we end up on this track for a high draft pick, and the entire answer to our roster problems isn't something we can address with a single pick, I'd love to see us trade down, even if the extra picks come in the next year's draft. I feel he’s the top WR in the nation right now.
SoCal Deek
I'm sorry is this supposed to be big news? The Bills need a Wide Receiver? Who knew? From what I've seen the professional performance of college WRs is very hard to predict. You roll the dice and take your chances. I'm more of the mindset that you get some offensive linemen first, and then see what's left on the Board.

loedward22
Sal needs to refine his idea. We actually have to find a high culture (ideally a holy roller) elite WR. Unfortunately these are even more rare and difficult to find.

peterpan
We need big targets with big wingspans to catch Allen's off target passes. Little speedy guys, like the ones we've signed and drafted so far, won't mesh with Allen's skillset.
