I think Allen and the defense saved him multiple times.

To be fair to Dorsey, we do not have a true #2 receiver out there. It's a major handicap on this offense.

Yeah but Allen always saves things

A win like today glosses over real deficiencies on offense in particular

Nice win with a lot to feel good about! Already thinking about the Miami game.

A few areas for improvement as we move on to week four:

Harty: Not sure after three games if I know what the game plan is?

Kincaid: For all the focus about an added bonus in the slot, very few plays seem to be utilizing his skillset.

We continue to see receivers running routes down the field too close to each other.

YAC: Seem like we still lack with YAC in our passing game.

Need better results on first and second downs. Thus far too many third and long situations.

Defensively, need to shore up our tackling.

Posted this in the gameday thread, but...

- Bills offensive line looking amazing the last two weeks. They were NOT going against slouches this week, either. Very, very impressive.

- Spencer Brown. Where the HECK did this come from?! Looks like a totally different guy. Not perfect, mind you, but leaps and bounds above what we all thought we were gonna get this season from him.

- Splash plays from a middle linebacker? Affecting the outcome of the game with sacks, interceptions, fumble recoveries? What on earth? THAT'S ALLOWED?!!

- This defensive line is gonna be a PROBLEM for opposing teams this year. Adding Von Miller back in the next few weeks? My goodness!

- Count me among those who prefer McDermott's playcalling to Leslie Frazier's thus far.

- Jimbo Cook is silky smooth.

- The week 1 Jets game looks to have had the same effect on Josh that the Pats multi-turnover game did in 2019, where it flips a switch in his brain and he starts paying controlled, smart, and within himself.

- Love the diversity of the Bills offensive personnel and playcalling so far.

- Things are no longer looking like a struggle for this Bills team. They're starting to get back to dominating and not getting in their own way and playing smart football on both sides of the ball.

All in all, a very encouraging two weeks. Onto the absolutely ENORMOUS game against the Dolphins next week. GO BILLS!

Davis scored a td. Still catches the ball / hand positioning weird

drops another pass

and is a black hole for targets. INT

as soon as the above happens. Need to have Sherrfield in

Right now the #2 receiver spot is a hodgepodge of guys, none of them consistent or exceptional. It is a major concern. For now it will have to be Allen making magic happen and Cook maximizing his opportunities.

Does he really need an elite QB, elite #1, and a great #2 to design and call a good game?

His opening scripts don’t really do much to get the offense in a rhythm or attack weaknesses. His route concepts seem bizarre. Things don’t come easy with guys getting open in space.

Josh being incredible covers up a lot of deficiencies.

Knox dropping balls again too

They're thin on weapons still

Dominating defensive performance is the story of this one. Hats off to McDermott. The more aggressive style is working.

Dorsey was our biggest problem on offense, no creativity and several bizarre play calls.

I thought Dorsey had a good gameplan early. Called several misdirection plays to try and take advantage bof a slick field and slow that front 4. Solid plan.

Then as the game went on he went braindead several times. There are a lot of times where playcalls get bagged on but it really is bad execution. Today wasn't the case IMO. The 4th down passing call was atrocious. The insistence of getting the ball to Harty was mind boggling. I understand getting him in space. I do. But these cute plays for him fool no one.  Can't afford to waste downs like that.

I do give him credit for sticking with the run when it started slow. In years past with Daboll after the 4th or 5th run there wouldn't have been another run called for a RB until late in the game. He kept chipping away and eventually Cook broke off some nice runs. This also made it so it wasn't all on Allen and keeps him from going Sugar Rush mode.

Dorsey is a problem big win or not. He’s certainly not learning from obvious mistakes. He’s costing us points and possession. Against difficult opposition, he better step up.

Did I miss something in the GDT? Are these real comments about Dorsey or am I just not recognizing the joke? 170 yards rushing, converted 9 third downs, no sacks given up, offense scored 30 points…I’m confused

They need to recognize that Harty was a bust of a signing and take him out of the game plan. The problem is who can we count on outside of Diggs?

It's obvious at this point that they are going out of their way to try and get him involved because they gave him $5M.

I don't have a lot of negatives around the game Dorsey called.

He designed plays that got the ball out of Allen's hands quickly. Completely negated the pass rush of Washington and the balanced run game took advantage of the lighter boxes they played.

How many hits did Allen take? Not a lot.

Only a few critiques. As others have mentioned, he could do better with 4th and short calls.

A would like to see them lean more into Allen under center and play action - especially with a run game that is clicking. Dorsey still seems overly enamored with shotgun.

I am also done seeing Hardy wheel and sweep plays. A cloud of dust and nothing. I just don't see the juice and it seems like they have gone to the well enough that they should have come to the same conclusion.

Defense played disciplined till we had a good lead then just unleashed the dogs.

Bernard plays with good instincts for his gap and the ball. The DTs in front of him are really holding their own when not collapsing the pocket.

Great day all around for the defense.

Honestly, Harty I think could still have a role as a deep threat. I'm not sure if Kincaid ended up injured or was taken out as punishment after a couple penalties...but this should have been a game he was a bigger part of the plan. Cook has stepped up.

I'm still a fan of Sherfield getting more time on the field. I truly don't see what Gabe Davis provides that he can't.

Leave it to this place to find the cloud amongst all the silver linings.    We stomped a 2-0 team in their stadium….    Maybe a lot of people are upset cause they bet on the wrong team?

I have nothing bad to say about the defense. Incredible almost perfect performance from them, and had to overcome a few officiating mistakes too.

The offense though has some legit concerns. And we're about to face a team that just put up 70. We have to look crisper than we did today and we can't afford any goofy play calls in critical moments.

He did fine, just a few plays we would like to have back.

Meat left on the bone, not grounds for dismissal :)

Did you watch the game? How many 2nd and 10 or longer did we have? 4th and less than one and we line up in a shotgun and throw? Got lucky to make a long field goal because a poorly planed and executed wide receiver screen to Diggs looses 5 yards and almost a puts us out of field goal range. I can’t even remember all the other stupidity that went on. The Dfense and Allen’s athleticism saved us from a close game and that’s a fact. These gaffs didn’t cost us today, next week the same mistakes will.
