Calling it now: Drew Sanders will be the Bills number Three pick 😁😁

Recommended Posts

Everyone likes Jack Campbell, and i do too, but hes the safe pick to replace Edmunds but Sanders is dynamic and can not only play off the ball and he can rush the passer and not just a blitzer but actually has pass rush moves.

he could be our Lawrence Taylor instead of another Edmunds.

And hes got that NASTY, which this team needs more of.

I don’t see it.  Nothing in McDermotts past leads me to believe he’ll push to draft a linebacker who can’t tackle, not good in coverage

He drafted Edmunds because of TRAITS.

Cant tackle and not good in coverage, please lol

Kuechly wasn't good at those either in college.

No thanks.

Weaknesses

Just one season as a full-time starter.

Will need to add more mass and base strength.

Inconsistent in reading his keys for misdirection.

Some change-of-direction delay in coverage.

Pursuit leverage and tackle balance need improvement.

Allows runners to slip away from his grasp.

Definitely see Beane being more interested in Sanders than Campbell. He's big on athleticism, measurements, and having room to grow.

That's how i see it, he likes traits. Although hes passed on guys with traits like DK Metcalf and Debo  Samuel

Drew's comp is literally Tremaine Edmunds. If he's on the board at 27, I'd be surprised if he wasn't the pick.

I actually think the Bills should wait and see what they have this year and if not take a guy like Danny Stutsman next year. Dude is a flat out stud who is all over the place on the field. He really impressed me as an FSU fan in the bowl game

I think we really need a better talent than the LBs we have now.

Wouldn't hate it but he looks light in the arse.

6'4"/ 235? He sure doesn't look it. Looks like a big SS to me.

Already got Milano, one high-motor lunch-pail LB starter is enough.

Agree. I want a sound tackling thumper with decent coverage skills.

Campbell seems to fit the bill.

It’s a bad class. Campbell is highly overrated on these boards he’s a mid to late 2nd rounder in my opinion and drafting him at 27 would be a waste.

He's good.  Very fast.  Seems that the bulk of those highlights are in the backfield putting pressure on the QB, and that's important.

BUT

Can he cover Kelce? Not seeing much in there in terms of dropping back, and reading plays from that perspective.

I'd be happy with the pick but that's my question.

It's incredible to me how overrated he is on this board. All I've heard for years on this board is "you don't reach for need". Now all of a sudden everyone wants to take the guy who's pretty much universally ranked as the 3rd or 4th best MLB, in the first round, in a class where pretty much universally one MLB (Sanders) is mocked in the first round or no MLB is mocked in the first round at all.

If Campbell is the target, I think there's a very good chance he's there at 59. Or at least within striking distance of a trade up from 59, if Sanders and Simpson come off the board. Daiyan Henley may come off the board before Campbell as well. Taking him at 27 is insanity to me. I see almost zero chance of that happening.

Trenton Simpson looks like he can be a difference maker at the position much like Micah Parsons. if we're taking an ILB at 27 I'm hoping it's Simpson. The fact that Trenton Simpson is the only ILB They brought in for a visit so far says alot.

It's definitely Drew Sanders and Trenton Simpson before Jack Campbell.

I don't dislike Jack Campbell. If we get him, I'd be fine with that. But you don't take Campbell before those two come off the board.

Not saying I know you're wrong. And yeah, Sanders is a good player.

But I am saying that Lawrence Taylor was not an MLB. And an MLB is what we're missing.

Sanders had 10.5 sacks in his collegiate career, 5 passes defensed and three forced fumbles. Taylor had 21 sacks, 10 forced fumbles and 2 INTs. 16 sacks in his final year there, playing his second year as an LB. And Taylor hadn't played organized football until 11th grade and started at UNC as a DL until he was switched.

I don't see Sanders as our LT in any way. LT was drafted second overall. Is Sanders being discussed in that range? IMO that's a huge huge stretch.

So I don’t know that he’s going to draft Sanders, but I do agree with you that that’s what McDermott looks for he looks for traits and not just production in that first round pick some thing that will grow

And I’m not saying that Campbell can’t do that

I am fully prepared to watch the Bills disappoint me by overdrafting a MLB at 27. If that happens it will be three years in a row that they’ll have painted themselves into a corner and forced themselves to draft for a glaring need in round one. If they don’t sign (or come to an agreement with) a serviceable MLB before the draft, then it’s easy to predict what will happen. Again. The other option is that they could try to trade up from 59, but they haven’t been willing to take that kind of risk in the past.
