1/22/23 GAMEDAY THREAD Divisional Playoffs Bills vs. Bengals

It’s Here! The Long and Winding road has brought us to the Divisional Playoffs at Home in a quasi-rematch with the reigning AFC Champion, Cincinnati Bengals. The teams QBs are among a small handful of the best players at the position and both feature additional star players throughout their rosters. 20 games in from the start of preseason have taken a toll on the rosters and only the healthiest players remain. But it’s at Home! In the waning days of the House that Ralph built. (Ok, WE did..) Another rare opportunity to be in the Conference Championship Game next weekend. Even with Locker cleaning day looming for the vanquished, We really couldn’t ask for more. It’s been a team goal from the very beginning and pursued with great effort. This includes the weight of a forlorned, 63 year franchise in a city that has never won a major Title and their ever faithful fans. Whether we Want to be or not, we’re ALL IN TODAY!

Nerves are out of control!!

Jam the Bengals receivers and run under everything. The back(s) and te(s) will need to help in pass pro. They’ll just become check down options. Attack and they won’t have time to make big plays. If that happens the Bills win the game. This is a big Ed Oliver game.

Just hope he is healthy. Still a lot of strapping on him last week.

I am very nervous this morning. Both for Arsenal and for Buffalo. Huge day for both.

I wanna see quick short passes from Josh to start…establish efficiency by taking the easy stuff, and then take the kill shot…👍

I agree and I think it will be available to try. I expect a better performance from Josh with regard to not forcing throws in the RedZone but he’s a gambler at heart and suckering them in with short throws early should provide looser coverage down field.

🤞

Go Bills.

I have a good feeling about this game today.

We're going to see greatness.

I do as well! Certainly, I expect Cincy’s best Sunday punch, but we have an experienced pugilistic bunch ourselves! Home? In the Division Playoffs?? What’s not to love?
DO IT!

It feels like it's taken a month for this game to get here.  Last night I actually dreamed about waiting for the game.  LFG

In a way, this is the Bills' first game since 13 seconds.

We had built towards that game for 3 years, only to somehow lose after winning it. The regular season was just a way of getting back into a better position to try again. Any loss could be avenged later. The Dolphins game was a playoff game, sure, but I think the Bills were not worried or threatened going into it.  We are now in that better position, if we win today (neutral site instead of Arrowhead, AFC Championship instead of Divisional round).

But this is the first game since 13 seconds where there is a very real chance of a loss of another year's chance at our goal. The ride could end today. (I give the Bengals a 30% chance.)

If it does, I want to say thanks to all the posters on this board, you have given this a Buffalonian in Europe a lifeline to share my love of the Bills, and I appreciate the heck out of that.

That all said, I feel calm and confident. I think Buffalo has it in them to go on a three-game run of excellence now and change our lives as fans forever.

Nothing left to say now except

LET'S GO BUFFALO

Damn! Please keep us updated!

double ear infection and about to test for strep. Antibiotics coming her way.  If I had gotten here 15-20 mins later I might have missed the game. I was first in line and when we were checking in there were 25 people behind me

She’s going to bounce back quick when those antibiotics kick in. She’s tough, she’s a Bills fan. Prayers for the little darling.
