NFL Week #18 - Around the NFL - Sunday Edition

I’d really like to see Detroit or Seattle make it in over Green Bay.  Both of those teams had no expectations whatsoever (to the outside world) going into this season, and both have been feel-good stories this year.

Unfortunately, if Seattle wins early in the day Detroit will have “nothing” to play for (besides keeping GB out).  Still, I don’t think Campbell will let them play flat.

Should be a fun afternoon.

Best case outcomes for the Bills today:

Bills Win of course

Jets beat Phins,

Ravens beat Cinci

Chargers beat Denver

Seeding then are we get Steelers (if Steelers win) or Pats( if Steelers lose) and Cinci now gets Chargers, which is our easiest draw and Cinci’s toughest draw. Too bad Lamar is out.

Bengals in such a weird spot.

Can probably beat the Ravens by going vanilla, given no Lamar, but still don’t want to lose that game and have a coin flip for where it’s played should they rematch..

Especially given it “sounds” like Lamar will play next weekend.

So Miami wins today and they're at Buffalo next week right? I really don't wanna play the Dolphins again. I mean if Tua is out then ok, but I'd rather have the steelers or Patriots

If the Bills can’t beat the Dolphins at home in the playoffs then they are not a very good team. I say “bring it on!”

I have resigned myself to accepting the reality that we are going to have to play--and beat--the Bengals AND Chiefs if we want to get to the SB.  Where the Philly Eagles will be waiting for us, and they are one hell of a good football team.

The good news is this is certainly possible.

The bad news it's a pretty heavy lift.

If Miami gets back Tua and the Ravens get back Lamar, that reinforces just how massive of a gift KC received.

No easy WC games with the options for Division winners being Chargers, Ravens, Dolphins.

Now if Lamar and/or Tua don’t play .. those teams are a joke.

I have to agree with your summary on the AFC side as I fully expect us to have to beat the other big dogs and personally I want us to. That eliminates any critics. I however have a gut feeling Philly will be an an early out team. Not sure why. I think they peaked at the wrong time.

Yo the Ravens aren’t playing Huntley, Dobbins or Andrews?

The Bengals get an easy win and if this is an indication Lamar might not play, an easy win for them next week too. Meanwhile we might have to play Miami at full strength.

Now that the Ravens are essentially conceding their game, I don’t really care as much about the outcome of the Bills game today. If we lose, we most likely host the Ravens without Lamar next week. If we win, it will most likely be the Fins with Tua. So for next week a loss is preferable but long term not so much because that means going back to Cincinnati and going to Arrowhead. Either way, it’s a bit of a lose-lose.

Cincy also gets Ravens home for the wildcard game if they win.

Lamar isn't playing again this season so cincy is getting to the divisional round with 2 weeks of Ravens B/C team.

That’s if the Bills win. If the Bills lose, they host the Ravens and the Pats go to Cincinnati.

Im at the point mentally where I’m over caring where we play and when we play. We have Josh Allen - arguably the best QB in the league. We have Diggs - a legit top 5 WR in the league. We have 2 very solid RB, with Cook starting to come into his own. We have a defense that can make big plays and can, at times, be stout. Above all, we are led by a HC that is nothing but class. We can beat anyone, anywhere. Lets enjoy the ride!

Goddamnit Miami is gonna come see us next week. Probably with Tua. I hate that.

I love it; no way we lose that game.  They don't scare me at all!  As playoff matchups go, that's fine by me.

Miami at Bills. Rooting for another Skylar game

Please for the love of all that is good in the world.

Seriously this is why the bye was so important. I don’t care about playing in KC. I wanted KC to have to play Miami.

Hey, this team has fought through adversity all year. I believe in our guys, but a free pass would have been preferable.
