H2o
Lawson wasn't a bad role player in this defense. He obviously wasn't the player and difference maker he thought he was, as evidenced by his team hopping the last couple years, but he was solid in Buffalo.
Steptide
Was just gonna post this. I dig it if he's back. Good depth and can't imagine very costly Edited March 9, 2022 by Steptide

DapperCam
Hopefully he can be in on 1st/2nd down and set the edge. I feel like we really lacked that this past year. 6 1

Process
Well he definitely fits McDermott's criteria of only bad-slightly above average players for the d line 6 2 11 2

mannc
Makes a lot of sense. Right now, we’ve got three DEs under contract, and all are unproven, although Rousseau certainly had a promising rookie year.

He still loves bills. Went to our playoff game in KC. Lorax very close to cardinals org too.
DCOrange
Fine if he’s cheap, but if we come out of this off-season with the young guys, Shaq, and maybe Hughes as our edge rushers, we’ve messed up. 4 3
SCBills
Good move, if true. I'm sure he's not expensive, and he provides a reliable vet EDGE to rotate with the young guys.

Maine-iac
What I like about Lawson is that he is physical enough that he WILL get to the QB. It may take a second longer but he'll shove the tackle back into the QB. All these speed rush guys like Hughes and Addison who either swipe at the QB or run completely past him and out of the play. Lawson will collapse the pocket. So maybe the QB will have a second but he will not have 3 plus seconds like they did all year this year. It's one thing to not get there in a hurry and another when you can't get there at all and there were points where we couldn't get there at all. He's not going to fix the interior, hopefully Oliver and Phillips are both there and lock that down. He's not a premier pass rusher like Bosa but he's solid. Hopefully Rousseau takes a nice step forward this year and starts slapping around some tackles. 3
TheyCallMeAndy
I still would like this signing, Lawson was loved in the locker room and is only 28. Our DE depth would be 2 first round picks backed up by 2 second round picks.

BuffaloRebound
Since he barely played last year, the not likely to be earned incentives could come in handy. Could probably get him for close to vet minimum.
patzen
Would love having him back for the right price. Very good run stopping DE with a good motor who can get to the QB if the coverage holds up.

2003Contenders
If nothing else, he was a very disciplined DE who set the edge well -- and could be a nice mentor in those regards to our young DEs who struggled in that capacity last year. Would still like to acquire a genuine pass rusher though.

AlCowlingsTaxiService
Just a “meh” from this corner … as a DE, if he had much to offer, he wouldn’t be available and having to market his services.
