Isn't it voted on by the same idiots that made him an alternate? What are the odds they'd vote to confirm their own stupidity?

If you're talking about the Pro Bowl, I think that's voted by fans and players.

MVP and All Pro team are voted by the associated press, I think.

It makes me sick, and it’s really very funny he’s not in the pro bowl, but I do think he figured out something today. He took the run and check down flawlessly, well 😅 almost. And then he still kept his gunslinger edge to him when we needed a big play! Great game Josh!! Go Bills. Allen4Mvp

Felt like he leveled up against the Buccaneers playing against Brady and seeing how he does things.

That’s a good point, I do think he was trying to be mahomes all year, and he can at times. But the game really opens up for him when he plays more like Brady! It was awesome to see.

This was the best game of his career today IMO

This game was the culmination of everything he's learned over his career. Take what the defense gives you, take your shots when they're there, carry the team with elite plays when they need you to. He did everything right. We're in the middle of watching Josh Allen master the position and become one of the greatest players of all time.

That was my exact thought. Just check it down and let guys like Singletary get yardage. Speaking of whom, thought he had an outstanding day today as well.

Right now I'd put Brady and Rodgers above Allen. Plus probably Taylor.

He should certainly be in the conversation, though. If he beats up on the two weak teams we have left over the next couple of weeks, that would go a long way.

Allen or Rodgers  - MVP

OPOY - Taylor

Media no likey a-Aron so wouldn’t be surprised if they cast their vote elsewhere

What do folks think the odds are Taylor or Kupp wins it?

I've been talking about them and Henry before he got hurt that they are serious contenders for it but it seems most everyone is saying no way.

No chance?  10%?

If it's between Allen and Rodgers I think they would give it to Rodgers but if Allen slaughters these last 2 teams might catapult his numbers past most of the QBs.

Rodgers has 4 INTs on the season.  He's been ridiculous.

For it to be non QB the QBs would have to all have a down year. Since Allen and Rodgers are both playing well I think this year it is less than 10%

If the bills offense can ever figure out how to consistently dink and dunk the ball they will be unstoppable. Josh Allen will win four or five MVPs.

Those dump offs to Singleterry in the first half it seemed in particular were a thing of beauty.

Holy crap!

If that first throw could be judged with a degree of difficulty, it would be a 10.   That is one of the most bonkers throws I have seen him make yet.   I think only Mahomes can possibly make that throw and that is it.

True definition of “arm arrogance”

If Allen can put up big numbers these final 2 weeks and Brady/Rodgers have mediocre weeks he might be able to steal it.

Rodgers will probably deserve it on merit, but I think the media are sick of his antics and they are who vote. Brady’s supporting cast is a lot better (not sure if non-Bills fans see it that way though).

Something I have often checked with regards to Josh's passing stats is his home/road split.  2021 is in line with his career numbers but even more extreme.  I attribute this mostly to home game weather and mostly wind.   The home crowd getting Josh too amped up narrative is entirely b.s., imo.  But, when looking at season or career numbers, (and the same applied to Jim Kelly) it's pretty negligent to compare them to those of QBs who played their home games in domes, or LA/SD, or Florida absent any context.

It would be interesting if it went to a player who was not a QB. When’s the last time that happened? (I heard it recently but don’t recall.)

Rodgers may be an arrogant, self centered jerk, but he’s been CRAZY good.

Regardless, I’d MUCH rather have Josh win the SUPER BOWL MVP!

It’s really only ever been a QB or RB/FB.

Since 2000 it’s been… AP won in 2012. LT in 2006. Alexander in 2005. Faulk in 2000.

Alan Page in 1971 was a DT. Mark Moseley in 1982 was a kicker. Lawrence Taylor in 1986 at OLB. Those are the only non-QB or non-RB.

I did not know that. A kicker? Wow! Different times.

i think Mosely was  the last successful “straight-on” kicker (not “soccer style).

If PFR is right, then yes. He edged out Dan Fouts by less than 2% of the vote.

Interesting enough, in those years a QB or RB was always the runner up.
