What was up with Beasley today?

Recommended Posts

Irony: Beez is upset that he can't voice his opinion without being ridiculed, yet he is upset with fans who voiced their opinion of him

cut the chord: we don't need this level of distraction for our team

he is entering Sammy Watkins territory

Similarities for sure.

When are we going to draw the line when angry fans approach him at his vehicle with his kids? Or his home.

He has received death threats & hate mail etc.

This is obviously bigger than football to him.

You have Proof he has received death threats?  Because I would imagine The guy that can’t stay off Twitter would have filed police reports and that would be a National Story.

Got it..

That's scumbag ish

How was his family at the game? Aren't they unvaxxed as well? I mean his kids may qualify because they are young (no clue their ages) but they would have an adult with them. (mom or grandparents most likely).

And why not address those that did it imstead of saying he was boo'd? If it happened then that's too bad. But not sure I buy it.

McBeane should have cut him the moment he went on his twitter rant, breaking team policy that they werent going to speak about vaccines.

Belichick/Brady would never have stood for that during the Patriots dynasty. You dont break team code like that.

Now theyre stuck with this turd and his dumb attitude.

Calling out Bills fans? How dare he. Get lost, Cole. Good luck selling cars.

Early on definitely. Recently I have no idea he hasn't posted much in a while

So Nothing. Interesting no arrests made. No news.   Did he ever post them?  I just trying to validate it or just the word of a guy we know has a loose relationship with the truth.

Are fans allowed in the players' parking lot?

Fans line One Bills Drive at the end of the game and try to get autographs and player memorabilia.  There was a video of Josh giving a kid his hat or something on his drive out after the WFT.  The assumption I make is that Cole stopped along that stretch of road to sign and then got the harassing comments.

I mean I wouldn't be surprised if he did. Not to excuse them but if you're going to publicly put yourself out there on a controversial issue like this, it should probably be something you expect.

As to the coming to his car thing I haven't seen anything that explicitly stated that.

There's a vast difference in the sound of "E" for "Bease" and "ooo" for "boo".

I heard a distinct undercurrent of "oooos" yesterday.

This absolutely is political for some people. It's sad to see fans boo their own player, he's the best slot receiver in the game.

This contradicts what 99% of the other people have said.

I have been looking for it. Haven’t found it yet. But it was the first time I have ever seen McD tear into a player on the sidelines like that.

IMO, it looks to me like McDermott was venting about the Penalty and Beasley just happened to be there.

Didn’t mckelvin for a simple muffed kickoff? I would absolutely expect he has at this point. Especially given the sentiment just within TBD on what Cole should and shouldn’t be doing and saying

Cole Diseasely heard the boos himself. Enough to make another whining tweet about it.

For what it's worth, I was at the Washington game and thought they sounded like boos as well. Way more than any chant of his name.

And while I didnt boo, for a crowd that was supposed to be 100% vaccinated due to the new mandate, I wasn't surprised to hear it when it came to Beasley. He made his bed, now he can tweet from it.

Perception is subjective. You don't know what someone said, only what you heard. Most of the time these two sync up, but not always. Plus in a situation like this, you are overwhelmed by the loudest/nearest sounds. So if you have three people booing (maybe not even Bills fans) while others are cheering, you might detect boos. Same as if some are screaming Bees while others are screaming something else, you could interpret the entire cacophony as boos with Bees.   What seems clear is, most agree they heard PRIMARLY Bees being chanted. Doesn't mean there weren't a few boos mixed in.

Except the harassing comments, according to Mongo, were "as he drives away ppl talk crap about being gettin vaxxed."

So, especially with how soft Cole is about this issue, could theoretically be one fan saying, "Cole should get vaccinated. It's stupid that he doesn't"

But regardless, Mongo then says ...

"talking crazy n ***** when there’s kids in the car" - which implies Cole was heckled while signing autographs with his kids in the car.. which directly contradicts Mongo's point that people talked crap about Cole as he drove away.

My thoughts? It's bogus!

I agree.  I think Coach was yelling at someone else.  Maybe a ref?  Beasley doesn't seem to act like he's the one getting the earful.

I mean if that's what happened they both need to get over it. You can't reasonably expect likely drunken fans to be age appropriate if you stop and sign thing for them on the way out. Beasley absolutely made this bed, the entire rest of the team knew how much of a ***** show it'd be that's why they decided to stay out of it and keep things to themselves.

I think you’re absolutely right, judging by the context and Cole’s body language (relaxed, not defensive, not really even looking at McD).

Great capture, I was just watching the replay and saw the same thing.  Thanks for posting.

@MAJBobby, was this what you were referring to?  If so, I'd say your bias against Beas blinded your judgment on what/who Coach was directing his anger at.  No way it was toward Beas though.

You can have your opinion about Beas and his social media, which I also disagree with his views.  But this was a big time miss on you trying to make a statement that Coach was chewing him out.  Completely untrue

I did not realize he was on twitter bitching about some fans talking ***** to him.  I mean he seems quite sensitive.  Sensitive people should not air all their opinions on social media and then wonder how a small percentage of people dont like what you say.

Caught McDermott chewing him out in the 1st.

A couple times his body language seemed off. He faked going in at another point and you can just tell be was frustrated about something.

Curious if anyone had anything to add.

Anyone at the game notice this?

Politics aside, he's a phenomenal WR in the slot. 2020 All Pro. 3rd year with Josh. 1st down machine. Was phenomenal last game. We need him for a SB run.

Get your eyes and judgment checked, Coach was definitely not chewing him out.

His body language being off, could you please provide "proof" of that? I only ask because you're 0 for 1 and I'd like to see what you are referring to

He should understand that it's the fans' choice whether to boo or not, and they did their research and this is the personal decision they are going with.

Yep after watching now does look like Beasley was just there with McD yelling. Seeing it live looked like McD giving him an earful and pointing at Beasley. Watching the clip again. Looks like Beasley wrong place wrong time.

Addressed it. And not Biased but thanks for your assumption. Seeing it live looked a lot different. Seeing the clip now I said I was wrong.  Care to explain my Bias?
