However slim the chance of him missing, by not calling a timeout, you’re basically saying you’ve resolved to losing or at best tying. Moot point now, but at the time I found it odd. The vast majority of kicks clear the 10 foot high goalpost easily, so in the rare occasion that a ball is low enough to contest, it should be allowed.
