junior
From some Fins fans on Reddit: Quote He is really inconsistent when you need a big punt, but he is solid at getting the ball between the numbers on the shorter stuff. Quote He can boom it but my god he was so bad with accuracy punts and pinning last year. Quote He's great when he's great and he shanks when he's bad Quote Played like dog**** week 17 in Buffalo. Pretty consistently inconsistent Quote Haack repeatedly ***** us especially in that week 17 game while we were also repeatedly ***** by the bills punter
IgotBILLStopay
And just yesterday I was rewatching the Cardinals (Hopkins hail mary game) game and was wincing after Bojo's 12 yard shank in the 3rd quarter. Notwithstanding that shank, still very surprised Mr. "50 yard punting avg" is not returning to the Bills.

ndirish1978
My inner monologue for this offseason has gone from "Beane is a wizard" to "why are we trying to lose this year for the sake of being cheap. Everything sucks." Outwardly I pretend to feign confidence. I should probably worry more about why I keep record of the conversations I have with myself though. Let’s replace our 50ypp punter with a 44ypp guy that was let go by a division rival because they signed a guy we almost signed..... but maybe I’m wrong. I’m just not happy about losing Bojo. I liked him Considering that our offense is finally good, would you rather have a punter that can boom it 50 yards but can't place the ball at all, or a guy that can place the ball inside the 20, 10, and 5 yard line? I would personally rather have the latter. Bojo was great last year, but generally has had lots of trouble with directional kicks and mistakes at critical times. Not sure I get the point of developing him and being patient with him only to not sign him... Sounds as though Bojo wanted to be paid more than the Bills wanted to pay him, all I can think of. BillsVet
Winning and improving on the field position battle is important to the team's strategy. Probably a motivating factor to signing a new punter for McD.

Bojo always let us down in that regard. but I’m a little afraid that McD will elect to pin teams deep instead of going for it on 4th. He really impressed me this past year by going for it on 4th quite often. Let’s hope that doesn’t change 8 minutes ago, NewEra said: I’ve changed my mind. I was reacting emotionally. The. patzen
Probably a downgrade, but we literally punted 41 times last year. Not really gonna fret over a punter that probably won't be used very much. 1

Mat68
Seemed like Bojo couldnt get it inside the 10. It was 15 yard line or touchback. Backing a team up inside the 10 is a weapon. If Haack brings that im all for it.
Ethan in Cleveland
Another who cares move. You probably trade one less shank a year for maybe for a total of 200 net yards of field position (50 punts at 4 net yards/punt difference) and maybe gain a few punts that don't go into the endzone.

DCofNC
Meh, for the one or two times a year that the booming punt is a huge advantage vs the much more likely scenario of wanting to pin a team, this seems fair. Punting average doesn’t mean ***** honestly, either you can play in the NFL or not, best punt to best punt might be 5 yards different, but positioning it is everything, Bojo was coming along in that, but if it’s a big money thing, I get it.

blacklabel
Yikes on bikes, I got this guy mixed up with Matt Darr, who punted here for a hot minute in like 2018, I think. He was the drizzlin' poops! I was wigged out for a minute. Bojo had a good season but maybe he's missing something they're looking for, ya knows? That said, consistency (aside from last season) seemed to be Bojo's biggest issue. One kick would be a moon rocket and the next he'd shank 19 yards into the bench and bean the waterboy or something. Either way I don't think the drop off will be significant. This Haackaloogie kid could be better, who knows? Not like they're gonna punt it this season anyway, eyy! However, if he signs for less than 2 per, I don’t get it Shouldn't it be the other way "If he signs for over $2 mil you don't get it"?? The Bills could have had him for $2 mil tender. But if he signs with another team for $1.5 mil, could just as easily mean the Bills were only will to pay $1.25 mil or something?? Since no team has announced they've come to terms, could easily be camp punter and he still signs with Buffalo
