TBD's fave Wyatt Teller in the news

Recommended Posts

If it is a permitted kill.... what's the issue?  I dont hunt, but I have no issue with someone posting about their permitted hunting experiences.

And the people who are shaming and taking issue, call into your state and adjust your hunting permits.... why are you mad at a guy who a)didnt even post this himself and b)is within permitted rules and regulations...  Confusing to say the least

Cancel culture at its finest.
Someone has to be offended by just about anything.
If I read correctly the gators have to be a certain size before they can legally be hunted. Once they reach that size they’re much more aggressive and dangerous as it takes more to fill them up and they look for bigger prey like pets and humans etc etc.

So this happened last week and I haven’t heard a single word about it until now, but there’s been a “backlash”?  And I follow the Browns.  This isn’t even on the fan site I frequent.  And it’s not like they don’t hunt in the UK.

Edit:  There’s actually a two page thread (which is nothing for that site) on it from the 5th.  As you would expect there’s nothing but support for Teller.

A lot of people with their nose out of joint about someone hunting and killing an animal don't seem to mind someone else "hunting" their cheeseburgers and chicken tenders for them.

There's an equal number of people looking ot be outraged by what other people are outraged about too.

They're probably the people that support PETA without knowing how many pets they kill.

one of those tweets is correct.  i have to imagine those things can get out of control in terms of numbers if there isn't some hunting involved.  god know how many deer we see just casually crossing the road and eating the ***** in my yard.  they even stare and snort at you if you come to close, like they own the place.

I am not a hunter but the people who get mad at hunters are annoying as hell.

Part of conservation is culling too.

Look at all the pythons taking over the everglades... I think they all have bounties on all those as an invasive species.

No problem if using legal permits and licenses. Means the state's wildlife conservation authorities are controlling the bag limits.

Folks that get upset with hunting don't understand how hunting organizations like ducks and pheasants unlimited have pitched in to ensure stable populations of the wild game they enjoy hunting.

Wasn’t he drafted in 2018? Wouldn’t that put him on the last year of his deal?

Not sure if Teller would have gotten the playing time needed here to make it work and the Browns have excellent Oline coaching. Sometimes a player just isn’t the right fit at that time.

I dont have a problem with hunters or hunting, BUT I do rank the "selfie with dead animal" posts right up there with duck-faced attention ***** posts. Teller wanted the world to see him carrying an alligator around, not everyone is going to enjoy it. Stupid Social Media drama between a bunch of people vying for attention.

If you read the story, his guide's girlfriend sent it to Wyatt's fiancee', who then posted it with the tag "So is this my wedding gift?"

You might not appreciate her sense of humor, but c'mon man.

Absolutely, I agree with all of the above. I do think a lot of the invasive species stuff shows the stupidity of humans. The pythons of the Everglades wouldn’t even be an issue if people didn’t keep them as pets. You also have the human desire to inhabit areas that put us in direct conflict with the ecosystem. Not only do we need to control the natural population growth, we also constantly deal with correcting human error, and controlled hunting often allows us to do so.

I did read the story. She posted it publicly and tagged her, and everyone else, in it. Again, an attention seeking public post by all of them. And some of the attention they're getting is negative. Boo hoo. I'm sure they dont even really care. Not even sure why any of this is "news".

People do this stuff all the time, I mean who complains about someone taking a picture of themselves with a fish they caught? People mount deer heads on walls and some even have animals stuffed. Who cares.

Alligators are pretty well managed by fish and wildlife. It's not like he went to Africa and paid off crooked cops so he could shoot a white rhino and grind its horn into magic sex pills.

Also, alligators are delicious.

I have no problem with people hunting as a sport/food source. I grew up in a household with firearms, and even reloading equipment.

On the other hand, people who would kill a rare, big game animal simply to make their D••k seem bigger, should themselves, be shot.

Yup!

Fair enough I forget he's been off the team two years, I thought it was one.

I guaran-*****-tee it that the same people who are all "inhumane!" "oh, the poor animal!" would be speed-dialing Animal Control and begging "DO SOMETHING!" if they were renting a house in Florida and found it in their pool

Yeah, there are an estimated 1 million gators in Florida and they are a problem where they've decided human habitations make good gator habitat.
