Using too big words for Gronk "Yeah, I mean, players gotta play, I ain't gonna lie to ya, I been hit like that, it didn't feel good" be more like it. I've actually heard Gronk sound reasonably articulate in an interview but I don't know how much of it was prepared/scripted

Lurker
Gronk: Whoh, that cheerleader's pretty hot! Play-by-Play Guy: But what did you think of the last play, Rob? Gronk: Oh, sorry, didn't see it. I was texting Tom about the smoothy I had for breakfast this morning. Can you bring it up again on replay? Play-by-Play Guy: It looked like the receiver only had one foot in bounds. What do you think? Gronk: Ah, just give it to him. Hey, that other cheerleader's got a fine set of lungs on her. I wonder what she's doing after the game... So the potential to fail is there. For someone everyone calls a moron, he was smart enough not to spend one penny of money he made from football. He lived off of endorsement deals.. However, compared to the going through the motion guys who bring absolutely nothing to a broadcast, and repeat the same tired garbage every week, I think he is watchable. If nothing else you may get a nugget like saying Edleman gets the nut once and awhile. Very surprised someone was willing to put him on TV, a bit of a ticking time bomb, but thats the fun of it for me.

It will be interesting to hear how he does when it isn't a Patriots game. All of what he had to offer yesterday was anecdotes from information he knew from the Patriots. Moving forward, he'll have to do his research like the others.
