Last Guy on the Bench
Unreal. The offense tosses up four interceptions, and somehow the defense holds the Pats to 224 yards! (We had 375.) Brady averaged 3.85 yards/attempt on 39 passes!!!!!! It's a brutal loss in some ways, given that we outgained them by 150 yards. And our offense still has a long way to go (more experience individually and together, a few new players down the road). But if the Bills keep playing defense like that we are going to win a truckload of games, even with a hot and cold, mistake-prone offense. It was a joy to watch them. 14 2

BarleyNY
Defense was stellar. Offense (Allen mostly) and specials (punt block for TD) let the team down. That said, a true #1 WR would be huge for this team.

Seasons1992
Fun game. Two playoff-caliber D's showcased their wares today. No worries on the outcome, outside of two things: 1. The overall health of Josh. 2. The receivers.

atlbillsfan1975
Belichick and Brady’s days numbered. Brady showed his age a lot today. He can float one in there, so could Fitz. Brady doesn’t have the same control when he has to put zip on it. That Pats team isn’t breaking the Bills four Super Bowl record. The Bills have a Super Bowl caliber D. The offense will get there. Real McClappy
I'm sure even with the win BB and the league has taken note. Now, just score 21 pts a game on offense and we are golden.

Artem Lipatov
Before the game I was afraid of Pats (Espescially after destroying Steelers in week 1). Now I think our Defence is Scary. They hold us in the game against best team in the league after 3 INTs and TD allowed by punt team. After competitive game vs Patriots we are ready to compete vs any playooff team in NFL. 1

If the QB keeps forcing the ball down the field they will NEVER win the a championship. It is easy to clean up punt protection. It is hard to get a QB to make better decisions.

And then a good call for the TD run. Other than that and us getting caught on the pick play (which was only not an illegal pick by luck not judgment) we shut them down. D was awesome. People asking why we are not getting sacks need to watch carefully. The last two weeks Dalton and Brady have been off target because the Bills have forced them to throw it early and it has thrown the timing off. They daren't hold onto the ball because if they do the Bills are right there.

However, that blocked punt was the difference in THIS GAME. Take away that gimmie TD and Bills win 10-9. Probably 13-9 because McD kicks a FG in that situation. This D blanked Brady for most of the day. 2 minutes ago, GunnerBill said: Yep that play to White was as good as it gets. Milano had perfect position. And then a good call for the TD run. But it's hard to swallow the loss in those circumstances. Too damn many mistakes. It will be interesting to see whether McDermott can get them up to play Tennessee, whther Allen is able to play or not. This is another test: how to react to a dispiriting loss. Josh cannot do a few things he tried but it wasn't just hurting ourselves they forced all of those throws to some extent. I'm not excusing him on any. But they're very good.
Gray Beard
Edelman was not playing with reckless abandon today. If he gets healthy, that will fix a lot of their problems. The other receivers couldn’t duplicate Edelman’s quick catch and go plays.

BillsVet
I have no doubt the defense was amped to play Brady and company, though after this game, they'll need to sustain that effort. It's not always going to be this good. Still, it was great seeing them force 3 and outs and bail out the offense, but eventually, there's going to be frustration if that side of the ball doesn't improve. There isn't enough rah-rah stuff a coach can provide if one side of the ball is at a disadvantage if the other isn't even close to decent.
