If Allen has what it takes, this game will be a “course correction” for him and he’ll learn that if you don’t put every ounce of energy you have into game preparation for a good opponent, you’re going to get your clock cleaned by someone who does. If he doesn’t figure it out, he doesn’t have what it takes. But none of us know that now. Every QB has bad games. It’s what happens next time he plays that matters. As for Daboll, IMHO he needs to go home and spend some quality time looking in front of a mirror to see who’s responsible for the totality of Allen’s play in that game. I’ll wait for the all-22 to make a judgement, but IMHO Daboll’s play calling did not position Allen for success. I think he was trying to be too cute at times and that Belichek basically has “The Book” on Daboll as an OC. His offense which was moving at will against other teams could not do anything against us. We had a special teams gaff that was most of the difference. We scored against NE when teams have not been able to do that at all. How about Peko, and 7th round pick Johnson? Edmunds was filling holes and where Sony hurt us last year, he was pretty much stuffed all game long. Brady's throws look like Barkley's only worse. Gore was amazing, but having Singletary back will be huge. Knox stepped up when needed and is turning into the TE asset I have been looking for on the Bills. Allen will learn or he will end up being replaced by the organization. The onus is on him, but I would like to see this O-line improve a bit more. Not excusing the poor decisions outside the pocket, just the many times the pocket collapses, or edge rushers getting their hands on our QBs.
