So, Diggs saw this coming, no?

I mean, maybe I’d agree with you if it had any impact on the play on field. It doesn’t. Stefon Diggs, weird as he may be to some, has never, ever not shown up to play. He wants to be the best and he wants to win. Period. If he’s pissed it’s for good reasons.

Josh Allen, on the other hand, it’s hard to tell sometimes.

I don’t care what his brother says on X either.

True. Idk, I'm just presenting a cpl interesting takes by the media

Life or death, If i had to guess, Stef has voiced displeasure for his brother he talks to daily, which prompted his brother to make 2 pretty disrespectful tweets towards Allen and the Bills.

Not until after next year as his contract is basically untradeable.  Diggs can either play on his deal through 2024 or sit out 2024 and not get paid.

2025 . Unless there's someway to lower that dead cap he's here for 2.5 more years and again,  I love the dude , but if he's unhappy, Josh knows and I'm sure it isn't having a positive impact on him

Don't know who they are but the both guys are 100% spot on and I agree that Stef was talking to his circle , which prompted the ridiculous tweets by his brother.  I love 14 but starting last year, leaving the locker room, as a captain,  is a terrible look and unacceptable.  Then missing OTAs, the cryptic tweets. Like grow the F up man, if you have something to say, say it yourself!

Maybe he's truly a cancer in that locker room , idk but it wouldn't be the first time in his career.

Edit - lot of downvotes , I'm just presenting what ppl are saying.  Ultimately I hope it only gives Allen and the team , especially the O , a huge chip on their shoulder vs Dallas

We’re not doing the “cancer” thing.

We’re not doing the blame the good players thing.

We’re not doing the addition by subtraction thing.

Thats what Buffalo has done forever.

Playing the “he doesn’t want to be here card”.

The Sabres keep playing that darn card still in 2023.

How about Josh plays the get it to Stefon Diggs 10 times a game card because he’s the only real WR the team has?

Has Diggs himself ever come out and said anything?? NO

Why some of you want to drive the Bills best player out of town is amazing to me. To say that he needs to grow the F up or call him a drama queen is the message board equivalent of a 3 year old throwing a temper tantrum

The dead cap on a Diggs trade after June 1st next off-season is $8.8M. Yes, a good chunk of change but it's completely feasible depending on the return of compensation. It would also clear $19M off the cap assuming any team that traded for him didn't have the Bills eat some of that.

Problem is I don't think at his age teams will be willing to give fair compensation for him. MAYBE Dallas is willing to move a 1st for him thinking he's the final piece of the puzzle.

While I believe Diggs wants to win and win here in Buffalo with this team, it's fair to wonder if he doesn't try and force his way out of McDermott is brought back. You could also end up with a new coaching staff that is wanting to move on from him and start fresh at the position. A lot of things possibly in play between now and week 1 next year.

In the end I'm hoping we have a new HC, Diggs is optimistic and happy about the chance to win here and it's business as usual next season for Diggs in Buffalo.

It’s prep work for the hero worshippers in case the departure of other scapegoats don’t result in Josh’s game improving.  It is Diggs addition to a list already including Dorsey, McD, Beane, Pegula, Davis, the o line, Tre White, Miller, Harty, and probably a few others that “must go” so Josh can save us.

Diggs' will to win is great. But for him to clearly moan at his brother (understandable and fair enough) without either appreciating it may get into the public domain or wanting it to with no rebuttal is concerning. The off season was surrounded by rumours about his relationship with Josh which he did not sufficiently address so of course it's going to rumble on, aided and abetted by his brother, so of course there's going to be questions asked.

On the field, is Josh the biggest issue? Definitely. Is Diggs doing all he can off the field to keep things smooth as possible? IMO no.

One of the best teammates and leaders the Buffalo Bills have ever had.  Everyone talks about him nationally - but most of it is just speculation.  Guys w/ shows & podcasts filling up the time..

meh. I think he’s well known throughout the league for being a live wire that has these types of takes. That he isn’t saying the stuff at press conferences doesn’t mean he’s not saying it to his guys, who talk.

It is wild to me reading some of these comments.  “This isn’t an issue”.  Your #1 top WR has a brother who plays in the league full blown ******** on his team then doubles down a day later and ***** on his quarterback and people are like “he has passion, nothing to see here - that’s just his dumb brother”.

I love Stef, my favorite Bill but come on.  Where were all the people telling Pat to get Jackson off the sidelines and Brittney to shut the hell up.  “Control your family”.  And all that family ever did was do look at me behavior and cheerlead for their brother or husband.

It is crazy to me that people see absolutely nothing wrong with this.  I just wonder how everyone’s reactions would be to this stuff if he didn’t have an untradeable contract.  Would you feel a different type of way maybe?

dude is the only guy showing up consistently on the Offense.  I'd be pissed to if I were him, if the other 10 were as committed to him to putting in the work, being in shape, and playing hard, the Bills would be undefeated.

Who cares if he talks smack with his brother or whatever.  More Diggs, less of these other layabouts

They are absolutely right.

You gotta realize, a lot of Josh haters in this forum, so this won't go with their narrative, and when it comes to Diggs, people prefer to keep the rose colored glasses on. Diggs was "liking" shady social media posts about Josh in the off season. This did not just happen overnight. I am tired of watching Josh constantly defend him, literally, sit there in front of the press and ask people to stop talking bad about Stefon, when Stef refuses to do the same for him. The fact that those tweets from his little brother are still up speaks volumes.

There is already a huge, national pile on regarding Allen right now. Having someone you call your brother/friend making it even worse is pretty bad.

I do agree that little bro bro running his mouth is bad look. IMO the Diggs stuff was over blown, but he could have simply sent 1 Tweet that would have stopped a whole offseason of speculation.

Lil Diggs is publicly running his mouth, if Big Diggs wants to stay here hope he nips it. We will see.

Lil Diggs bashing Allen publicly isn’t a good look.

listen to the last guy regarding the tweet, now that I think about it , he's spot on. His bro doesn't send those Direct tweets without Stef signing off imo

I honestly don't get why this is so hard for people to understand. If Stef was "bothered" by it, those tweets would be gone. When Maddy Glab had that off mic comment about Stefon circling on social media, Stef had no problem taking to social media to defend himself. Maybe others weren't paying attention, but I saw the "likes" of shade being thrown at Josh on his Twitter. He went back and unliked them, but it was a thing that happened. Josh flat out admitted that he and Stef had a quarrel in the off season, but that they were over it. Obviously, we are back to square one. What it boils down to is if Stefons brother can comfortably tweet unflattering stuff about JA, there is a reason he is so "comfortable" in doing so.

There is a saying, when people show you who they are, believe them.

I used to defend Diggs all the time, but can't anymore. He's still a great player, and sometimes even person, but he is extremely volatile and hot headed. Can turn on you in a dime. It is what it is with him. Obviously, he is still our best weapon, by a longshot.

Let’s see what happens after 2-3 more losses.

Im not against Diggs but I definitely wouldn’t be shocked if we see and hear “un-captain” like behavior.

But I do believe McDermotts days should be numbered. Think about it, he has no DC and now his OC is Joe Brady. McD has had his chance and it’s time for a fresh start. How players react in the next couple months May also help that, Cause at this point I think Diggs is more important to the team over McDermott. Cause McD is failing, especially if this team finishing sub .500 at 8-9. 9-8 ain’t much better, that where this team is headed.

I feel like I am in bizarro land. Only Bills fans are seeing this through rose colored glasses. Meanwhile, outsiders are seeing it for what it is. Stefon is not happy, he talks crap behind JA's back to his brother.

These guys see it

These guys see it too!

Seriously, what are we doing here people? Everyone outside of Bills fans can SEE this for what it is, and acknowledge that if Stefon wasn't cool with his brother saying this stuff, it wouldn't be happening.

This has nothing to do with Stefon being a baller, or talented, or passionate. We know he is those things, but he is allowing his brother to do his dirty work for him, and his silence is speaking volumes. Why not just accept it for what it is?

The news and shows make money by reporting and getting people fired up over nonsense and little things. I try to go by facts and not speculation.

Fact - Trevon slammed the franchise and Josh on Twitter.

Fact - Stefon has done nothing to defend either, even though he showed his ability for doing so before.

Stefon Diggs is showing the exact same personality he showed in Minnesota.  There's nothing he's doing that surprises me at all.  The tweets from his dumb brother are just childish nonsense, but that's what you get with the Diggs family.

The first couple seasons when Allen/Diggs were all "kumbaya" together was great.  But that's over, Diggs wants to eat and wants a ring...and he's pretty much come to the realization that Buffalo is not a place that gets rings.. so he's bitter.  It's a shame that he and Allen are probably not the close buds they used to be.

I'm getting tired of the Stephon Diggs act--or maybe more accurately, the Trevon Diggs off-Broadway act.

Steph himself doesn’t seem to be a problem. Videos from practice sure the ***** don’t suggest there is a rift between him and Allen.
His brother seems to be stirring the pot and until Steph comes out and tells him to shut the ***** up this talk will continue.

He wants to go to Dallas, which is not a place to get rings either. At least since Jerry Jones started playing GM.

What really sucks is trying to remove your own human emotions from this. How do you even handle this if you are Josh? Obviously Diggs is his #1 weapon, and he has to get him the ball for the offense to have success, but you also know deep down how he feels about you and how he treats you is not going unnoticed by the media/outsiders. On some level it's pretty humiliating too, but the show still has to go on.

The dynamic on offense won't go well if they aren't getting along. That in itself can ruin the flow of everything. JA is probably stuck being "the better person" so the season and offense won't implode even more. It's a freaking mess. Don't know how people can defend this or even act like it's nothing.

The worst thing about Diggs is how badly he wants to win… yuck

Is that why when others get the ball he kind of just stands around....  Especially on pass plays, even those close to him.

Edit: both him and Davis do it and it is annoying seeing it happen consistently
