You want to be able to sign multiple higher priority DTs as UDFAs. If you draft one now that may push another to another team. Morse doesn't need to take all the 1st team snaps in camp and some should go to Bates plus all the 2nd team snaps. If Bates is the plan, he needs lots of reps at Center. It is not evidence of Wizardy. Beanes mistakes are mistakes, just like anyone elses. Ford was a mistake.
