Your one, and only one, draft hot take?

ONE of these top ranked players will slip to the bottom of round two or even to round 3.  It seems to happen every year.  Some round 1 talent takes an unexpected tumble.  Last year for example, Utah Linebacker Nakobe Dean who was graded on most sources as a 1st round prospect, tumbled to the third round.  I could see the same thing for SOMEONE on the list below.  I've bolded a few that could have a higher chance of slipping...

Christian Gonzalez CB OREGON

Nolan Smith ED GEORGIA

Calijah Kancey DI PITTSBURGH

Brian Branch S ALABAMA

Paris Johnson Jr. T OHIO STATE

Myles Murphy ED CLEMSON

Deonte Banks CB MARYLAND

Michael Mayer TE NOTRE DAME

Broderick Jones T GEORGIA

Jordan Addison WR USC

Anton Harrison T OKLAHOMA

Emmanuel Forbes CB MISS STATE

Lukas Van Ness ED IOWA

Tyree Wilson ED TEXAS TECH

Will McDonald IV ED IOWA STATE

O'Cyrus Torrence G FLORIDA

Dawand Jones T OHIO STATE

You missed Jack Campbell

I don't consider him a "top ranked" first rounder!  ;)

Hot take #2.

We draft Flowers and then he's WR 4 (and does nothing....) underneath a contract-year-motivated Gabe Davis, and Shakir who becomes a pro-bowl caliber slot WR after his training wheels rookie year.  (I'm just poking fun here......)

Bills will trade out of the 1st Round, and end up taking Jalin Hyatt.

DeAndre Hopkins will be traded to the Chiefs, not us.

Jack Campbell will last to our 2nd Round pick, and we still won't take him.

We will take an Edge Rusher on Day 2, but not address the Offensive Line until Day 3.

The Jets will absolutely kill this draft, and be the clear AFC East favorite by the weekend.

I would rather sit in the war room for a Bills draft than attend a Super Bowl, even if the Bills are playing. We attended one Bills SB (vs Washington in Minneapolis) so I’ve kinda checked that box.  Sitting in on a draft would be new and fascinating.

the embedded video they did that year in the war room as one of my absolute favs. I would watch it every single year if they decided to film it

We are less than 48hrs out from the completion of the first found of the draft. What is your biggest hot take?

Mine is Darnell Washington being the first tight end off the board.

I think this still qualifies as a hot take. I have seen some recent rankings and mocks that have Washington as the first tight end off the board or the second highest graded right end in the draft.

Still, the overall consensus I think is that he is a second round prospect and the #3 TE.

Some rumblings of possible medical issues but those could maybe be smoke screens. And after seeing how Gronk’s career panned out after his serious medical red flags I think more than one GM will be willing to take a gamble on him.

Gronk panning out though didn't change the fact he did have legit medical flags.  There are a significantly more amount of players with medical concerns and red flags who didn't pan out.  So if Darnell Washington's medicals are a legit concern, he is going to drop for sure into 2nd round or possibly lower if they are significant concerns, especially in a rich TE class at the top.  Now if the medicals are being exaggerated (very possible) to try and drive his price down, then he could go in the first still.

Hot take.... Jack Campbell will still be on the board at #59.

Is this really a hot take though?  I mean I think this is the range most people expect him to go

In most places, no. Here? Certainly warmish.

Hahaha touche, well played.

Personally I don't think he goes any sooner than Detroit at 48.  Detroit has another pick at 55 too, so I think that is Jack Campbell's best shot at going before our pick at 59.  ack Campbell feels like the type of old school player Dan Campbell likes and I can see him going to Detroit at 48 or 55.  And if he gets past both of Detroit's picks, then I think is likely on the board on 59 if Bills are interested and if we were to pass then I would think Eagles would give a heavy look at 62 given the losses they had at LB this free agency.

That is my range of where I think he goes...between 48 and 62.

Within 4 hours prior to the draft, almost every single radio and tv station that covers the NFL in this country will have someone on their broadcast say, "If __________ is still on the board when [any team]'s pick comes up, let me tell ya you are going to see [any team's draft rep] [RUN UP/FLY UP/SPRINT UP] to the podium to make that pick!"

My hot take:

Despite popular belief around here, 3 or 4 Tight Ends (I see people suggesting Kincaid, Mayer, Washington and even sometimes seen people suggest either LaPorta or Musgrave as first rounders) will not be drafted round 1 and Dalton Kincaid will NOT be the first TE taken.

At most 2 will go, and Michael Mayer will be the first one drafted.

weak draft class, hoping a quality WR drops (unlikely) or Branch (S) (again unlikely)

trying to trade up would only work to get ahead of Balt or NYG if they have a first round grade WR available

Would love to trade pick 27 to the Lions for both of their second round picks (48 and 55) giving us 3 picks (59 is our own)

"The ______'s got their man!"

"He was the number 1 guy on our board."

"We can't wait to get him in here."

"He is pretty much over [knee and femur replacement surgery] and our medical team says he is good to go."

"I remove their skin and wear it like a human suit."

Sorry on that last one, wrong "Buffalo Bill."

,,,,,Some people don't know what a hot take is.....I digress.  Also some people don't know how to count to ONE.

Hot Take:  Clayton Tune will end up being the best QB in this class when it's all said and done.  (fire.)

I picked him up late in some of my simulated mock drafts.
