HardyBoy
Isn't he still going to be super capable of being a sexual preditor when he gets out? Doesn't that type of behavior generally escalate or is there a solid chance he is able to work past it? Also, how many grams of crack equal 14 years exactly? Don't know, but at least until recently it was exactly 100 times less than the same number of years for cocaine. Think we might have some of our priorities mixed up somehow...and I'm usually very much on the rehabilitate over incarcerate side, but dude is attacking weak old ladies and raping them...aside from feeling the need for control over someone to that extent, that he is either not able to stop the drive to do that, or does not have the empathy to not do that is really scary because I have to imagine that type of stuff escalates over time.

It amazes me how we lock addicts up and basically turn a relative blind eye to sexual predators (Pedophiles included). They always get a super light sentence like all they did was knock over a 7/11 with a gun. The victims are stuck with distrust and fear for life, and I'm not a "oh my feelings" guy but that is a big ordeal. 2

As a person who deals specifically with the investigation and prosecution of these crimes I can tell you that many, MANY victims just can't handle the court room, leading to plea bargains with lighter sentences. When cases like these go to trial and the defendant is found guilty, my experience is the judge usually drops the hammer. 2

There are a lot of examples of punishments not seeming fair in our justice system......I watch a doc about a guy who went around the country to various casinos. He would recruit a blackjack dealer and collude to fix the game in his favor. All told it was over a million bucks, he got a year. Go rob a bank where you will be lucky to get a few grand you could get a 20 year sentence.

machine gun kelly
He is a despicable person and 14 years is light. I read the article and it seems that is the maximum for their plea deal. For those making jokes, you should be ashamed of yourselves. There is nothing funny about treating elderly and homeless women in such a predatory manner. How many people were robbed or murdered because an addict was looking for his next fix? Literally had a friend of mine die because she kept letting her addict husband put poison in her veins. Shes dead, he was out of jail in two years and is now onto his next victim. Winslow is a scumbag and got off easy but lets not pretend most addicts arent scumbags too. I hope through it all he finds some remorse for all the people he has hurt through all of this especially his parents I'm sure they raised him better than to do something like this . (She and I had broken up by that time, for reasons unrelated to this, but we were still in contact with each other.) She refused to press charges - she just wanted him to leave her alone. In the end, the president agreed not to fire him as long as he left her alone and voluntarily resigned at the end of the school year. It's not the outcome I would have chosen, but that's what she wanted. I saw her a few years later. She married a guy who treated her well, so I was happy about that. I was just reaching the age where I paid attention to football when the Bills had this great running back - Orenthal something or other - whom I idolized. Shortly after his retirement and long before the murders, it started becoming evident that his off-the-field behavior was, to say the least, not worthy of idol worship. (Several domestic violence reports, police being called to his house, etc.) I was in high school by then, and that's the point when I realized that idolizing celebrities was a mistake. I'm glad I never got a Bills 32 jersey when I was a kid.
