Packers lost David Bakhtiari to an ACL injury in practice, he is done until next season. He is a tremendously important piece to their O-Line.

this is one of the reasons I feel sitting starters if they're healthy is a futile exercise. Injuries can and will happen anytime.

I'd prefer that. At least you would know who has it. And you can hit them with a baseball bat.

Win win.

Beasley was a DNP all week, and once again our reporters don’t press their questions.

Will Cole practice today? No he won’t.

Then we move right on to a safe feelings question.

How about - Hey Coach it’s been a four days now, what is Cole’s injury?

On Tuesday you said you didn’t have the details, do you have details yet?

Is it Season-Ending?

Dude is our #2 WR and it’s non-chalant here.

You, and the reporters, know exactly how McDermott will answer your questions.

“He’s dealing with a leg injury and is receiving treatment.  He’s working to get back as soon as he can.”

There, answered it for you.

Cool, so let’s just have him generally comment on the growth of the defensive line throughout the year, very illuminating.

I think it’s time to start asking if it’s season ending for Beasley.

McSmokescreen is possibly the biggest user of coachspeak I've ever seen.  I don't think he has ever directly given a substantive answer to a question about personnel, just vague meaningless responses.

Why though?  He’s not going to answer that.  Even if Beasley is potentially done for the year, why would McDermott tell anyone?

My guess is we’d want the roster spot so your answer likely resides in if he gets put on IR.

If he doesn’t, but might miss weeks, he’s good enough that I’d assume we’d give him every opportunity to get back on the field if we advance.

Either way, forcing teams to prepare for Diggs-Brown-Beasley is way different than Diggs-Brown-Davis.   Why give up that advantage?  Example - Beasley’s shiftiness out of the slot is an entirely different threat than Brown’s speed in the slot.

Your not accepting reality here, the Bills don’t want Miami to know what’s up, so why in hell would the tell a reporter,  it Strategery my friend, Strategery...

Unless you are betting on the game, what difference does it make how much the beat reporters probe in regards to the injury?

I think he has a point.   A lot of people would like to know.  Obviously, they can tell us whatever they want, within the league rules, but it would be nice to know, for example, the nature of the injury.

Completely shocked that Beasley is out for Sunday's game.  Clearly, the Bills received information on his recovery today that wasn't available yesterday...

I think everyone knew he was out for this Sunday's game, considering he's injured and it's a meaningless game.  Not sure what declaring it yesterday would have changed.

It might change fan’s expectations of the post season if they know whether Beasley is done for the year or not...he was a major part of the offense...

Pretty much this...nobody thought he was playing this week...need to see what happens next week...

That would be a huge loss if he can't go or is ineffective.

Right  - as you said, everybody knew that he was out against Miami, so it just seemed silly to have not declared him out yesterday, as they did with Gilliam

I realize he is a big part of the offense, but Beane and McD should be more forthcoming because fan expectations might change?

Sorry, I have no problem if they are being hush hush about it.

No need to tell Miami anything before you have to, and even then being vague is the best course of action. Sean is doing it the right way.

I bet McDermott sends notice to reporters before-hand: don't ask about the specific nature of Cole's injury

I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes, but Bease might have been telling McD all week "I want to play and get 1,000 yards" and doing what he could to rehab, but it didn't work.  Once Thursday rolled-around and he still couldn't practice, McD probably pulled the plug.  So it might have been "new" information of sorts.

Go Bills!!!

And without specifics, playoff opponents can't make any educated guess on whether or not Beasley will be in

4 years of McD and you’d think people would know by now that he doesn’t give much to the media.

A week to week leg injury is the best we’re going to get.

That seems more like a day to day scenario, hopefully we'll hear that next week.

Maybe the OP should add a injury diagnosis poll so we can take our shot at guessing.

I'm thinking that Bease thought it was day-to-day but McD figured it was week-to-week.
