Hard to see the Bills making it passed the 2nd round- if they even make it that far...just too inconsistent, and too undisciplined imo...

My three goals for the Bills this season were:

1)  See Allen continue to improve which he clearly has.  He is our franchise QB unless one of the "we should have drafted Mahomes" sad sacks on 2BD makes a time machine and we go back to the 2017 draft and convince the Bills NOT to make that trade with KC.

2)  Win the Division which we are positioned to do.

3)  Win at least one playoff game.  This team is clearly good enough to win a playoff game.

I think that point #3 was consensus, or at least a solid majority of people, here before the season started.  This is exactly where I am and 10-6 or 11-5 doesn't seem so out of reach at this point -- followed by winning a playoff game.

Allen was under too much pressure and wasn’t comfortable all day.  He’s been given a ton of time to throw all year but the Chargers today (mostly Bosa but also Tillery) weren’t having it.  Just imagine if Ingram had played. There is no excuse for letting a great passrusher dominate an entire game like that.  On one of his sacks they forgot to even block him.  The offense was a sloppy mess all day and it’s definitely McD’s worst effort coming off a bye (he’s usually got his team ready after the rest week).  Just not a great NFL product on the field today - pretty much across the league.  Lots of sloppy plays, weird officiating, the announcers sound tired, it’s been a long year and people are tired from having to socialize a bit after months of isolation (my theory).

I thought they were sloppy on offense today. Obviously need to do a better job protecting the ball and the o-line was getting schooled in pass pro. Bosa does not look like all that to me - kind've lanky, but freakish athlete, and obviously strong.

Knox had his usual up and down game, the down was the terrible blocking. Missed our other TEs.

Surprised how many plays Dabol had where Knox had to block Bosa, or where they only had Winters on him, or left him unblocked.

That's the kind of dude you put two guys on, or chip with your RB, or game plan something to take him out of the equation.

I was frustrated with the Singletary fumble as we were finally doing what really good teams do to close out games. The o line was blocking with attitude, and Devin was ripping off chunks of yardage, the clock was running, we are driving to the end zone to put the nail in the coffin, and then the ball gets punched out from behind.

Leslie just needs to throw out his hail Mary defense and just bring normal pressure. That defensive play is suck.

Rocky ending, but defense played strong and we won. I'll take it.

I didn’t think it was ever a nail biter...

It was a lot closer than it needed to be, despite the final score. If the goal is to get into the playoffs, we’re looking pretty good. If the goal is to win against top tier teams in the playoffs, we have work to do.  Scan back through our season... way too many times we let teams back into the game when we should’ve been able to step on throats.
Totally happy to see us at our 8-3 record.. but that was a very sloppy 4th quarter today.  Need to start learning how to play strong with the lead.  Go Bills!

I’m disappointed we didn’t put them away when we had a chance to do so, but there’s something to be said for winning a game by 10 even when you didn’t play a particularly good game (offensively).

The D was great though.

The Chargers are not an easy out, I’ll take the W.

Felt like we were poised to blow them out and it just didnt happen due to mostly self inflicted mistakes.  That said it was good to see the Bills beat a decent team with a marginal effort from Josh Allen.  Good to see complementary football.  Defense played well for the most part.  Special teams was excellent, Roberts continues to make a difference in starting position almost every game.  Bass was money and had some nice directional type kicks keeping them to the 20 or less on a few kickoffs.

Defense stepped up and running game was better. I don’t know, but a win is a win.

Yes, the D stepped up big time.

We used to be the team that had to wait on a miracle  turnover or a penalty in our favor to win games. We now win games despite turnovers and stupid penalties. I’ll take it! We’ll keep pushing forward and improving.

Feels great!

I feel bad for Lynn. He clearly has no idea what he is doing out there. The amount of confusion and bad tactical decisions was alarming.

The ending playcalls at the goal line pretty much sums it up.

He’s going to get axed.

Could it be “a cruel, cruel summer” coming up for Lynn.

Sorry, bro, had to!

Because so far for the most part it's happened every week.  Thats a pretty good reason to assume it will be like that every game.   How many games were we ahead either at half time or begin of 4th quarter and allowed other team to get closer or even go ahead.  Most excluding Az game we pulled out, but we've let too many teams back into game

Are we concerned with garbage time scores now?  We have had control in so many games.  If anything this game was weird cause they didn’t get the garbage time TD.

It wasn’t perfect but you don’t necessarily need perfect or dominant to win in the post season. You might need to play that way but not necessarily.  We moved the ball on them all day. I think those TOs can (And will) get fixed up.

Finally we have beaten plenty of good teams and look to have a better record than last year when we played a cupcake schedule. Are we gonna be favored after the first round of the playoffs? No but I think we’re gonna get a shot playing with house money.

Jesus, so many Debbie downers.

Seriously, if you talked to the fans in the offseason and asked if you were good with starting 8-3 and that Allen was would be hitting 68.5% of his passes, throwing a 3:1 TD to Int ratio and was on track to 4500 yards who here would have been upset?

Look. We are a work in progress. I didn't think we were Super Bowl caliber in the offseason but we've shown serious strides, especially with some of the bugaboos that have plagued us: bad bounces, crazy last second plays and pissing away leads to a second half comeback. The idea that we make it to the AFC Championship doesn't seem crazy.

Let's temper our excitement, but enjoy the moment.

They never trailed in the game. They didn’t need to “find a way”, they finished the game and won by two scores

I agree, YOLO!

It’s like we lost by 10 points. Oh wait...we didn’t.

Not the Bills best game today, but they were clearly the better team, they held Herbert down better than virtually anyone else all year, and won the game easily.  This should be encouraging to Bills fans.  They dominated a team that has played many close games on a day when they were not their best.  Be happy for crying out loud.

Yup! We made a rookie that’s been creating waves look average today. Yes, we weren’t perfect, but it was great!

A ton of head scratching moves by the Bolts. Some serious organizational issues. It looked a lot like they didn’t know what to do from one play to the next. Definitely a poor coaching performance by Lynn & Co.

I would definitely cut bait with Lynn they got something going with this team.

in no universe is allen ever going to be better than mahommes. bills made wrong decision trading back in the draft w chiefs

Wow, bro, did we lose today?

Yes, Mahomes is better than Allen at this point. That said, we have a great QB in Josh Allen.

The Chargers had not lost by more than 8 points all season until this game. The Bills beat them by 10. The Chargers lost to the Chiefs by 3 (in OT), the Saints by 3 (in OT), and the Buccaneers by 7.  They are a good team.  This was a good win!

Totally agree, bro!

Sometimes I don’t know what people expect. Supposedly we don’t look like the Chiefs because we’re not blowing every team out, so, we suck! Even though this same Chiefs team won by 3 points in OT to this team. The team that we just beat by 10.

There are only two rules that really matter in the NFL:

1.  Good teams find ways to win.  Bad teams find ways to lose.

2.  You are what your record says you are.

That's it.  We saw why the Chargers are 3-8, and why the Bills are 8-3.  The Chargers couldn't find a way to seize the game when the Bills were trying to give it away.  That's because the Defense had a plan, and the will and the talent to see it through.  SD had talent, but no plan due to slappy leadership.

The one on his ankle was him throwing the ball away.

No, I don't think so.

He recognized that Davis was out there unchecked and if he could have found a way to get the ball out to him on the broken play, there is only one defender between him and paydirt.

I thought it was just another example of Allen's fantastic field awareness throughout the day.

Yeah, so many of the "Bills Fans" are never happy with a win. Did anyone watch how the Chiefs "blew out" the Bucs today? By 3 points. Get a grip - you are 8-3, with a franchise QB, weapons on offense that force teams to game plan for them, a D that is evolving each week, and you don't have 4 QB's in Covid protocol.

they cant beat cheifs, titans and i would bet cant beat steelers and ravens. saying they beat "winning" teams which the 6-5 raiders are is sugar coating it

Sugar coating it? The Raiders are the team that beat the Chiefs and then almost beat them again last Sunday night.

I haven't read through all of the comments. It's funny that people are critical about it.

We're 8-3, with a solid win over a tough opponent.  1st place in the AFCE.

Loving it.
