MarlinTheMagician
I think too harsh to say no excuses. First NFL game man, give him a break. If it continues we get Hauschka off the couch (or did he sign someplace?)

That’s a mechanical issue and our ST coach should be able to knock that out of him. His XP’s were solid. Rookie nerves. The kid will be fine. I will admit all 3 of his XP's were perfect right down the middle. He did get robbed on that first miss. But his fgs all drifted right. He's got work to do or House$ may be getting a call? If he misses one next week, he has to go. There was no reason to draft this kid if this is what he does under pressure. Rookie kicker in his first game coming off a competition in a tough stadium to kick in.That said, I'd rather have a veteran. I agree here. I stated in another thread IMO I think he will settle down and be fine. The staff kept him over Hauschka for some reason. And it could have been the wrong move, but we won't know til a few games in. I think he will do better as each game goes along. At least I hope anyway.

I don't believe anyone who says they aren't worried about it. No way a single Bills fan sees all these wide right kicks and feels comfortable with him. If they want to give him the Dolphins game I'm okay with that. But I don't care about my kicker being able to hit from 60 yards. Give me a consistent 40 yard and under kicker every time. That's why I'd prefer Hauschka.
Billsatlastin2018
NOT a good start, by any means! EVERY kick is an adventure. As others have stated, NEVER Draft a Kicker, but if you must, at last find out that he was remotely accurate! WHICH THE FISH WAS NOT! If he shanks against the Fish, then perhaps he should be sleeping with them! Get the Beer League & CFL guys out Monday in try outs.

That to me is just trying to fuel the narrative....field go that is within the uprights is friggen field goal and they screwed up the call. Two years ago, sure I wouldn't care if we had a rookie kicker. For all the hate Hauschka has gotten on here he was one of the main reasons we got to overtime against Houston. I didn't agree with us cutting him in favor of a rookie and this game only pushed me harder in that direction.

soflabillsfan1
He should be cut. Can't miss inside of 40 like that. billsfan89
Bass is an easy miss away from being cut. A kicker almost always has a short leash, let alone a kicker who hasn't really proven anything. And considering that a bad kicker can cost you games I think Bass can't afford another chip shot miss. Bass didn't cost the team the game but he flubbed 6 points and took what should have been a wire to wire blowout and made it a bit tighter.
