JoeF
Need to check out the PEDs...but if he is clean, the Bills have to do this. It will help the entire LB corps.....including Tremaine. No one knows this system like TD and Luke. The chance to get one of them will be way too much to pass up.

LSHMEAB
No thank you. Davis had a nice career, but he's 36!!!! I'd much rather use that roster spot on a young player. We already have Lorax in the front 7 to serve as a "mentor." Edited January 10, 2019 by LSHMEAB

I know its hard to believe at 36 but he can still cover TEs and most running backs and is aces against the run. I have watched him the last 5 years (live in NC) and have been waiting for a drop off-- there has been none. I offer him 2 years at $6 million ($2.5 million SB and base salaries of $1.75 million per year) and make the same offer to Lorax. Get both and let them share the position. This is one ex-Panther I really hope we get... Edited January 10, 2019 by JoeF
Da webster guy
Well we can't get swept by the Pats every year and make the playoffs, and they embarrassed us with the run game for like 250 yards on the ground. It was more than just not having Milano. We need a 1st and 2nd down run stuffer, Lorax comes in fresh on 3rd downs to cover TE's or rush. We have the money. And we also have to assume an injury is coming in the LB corps every season. Take a hard look at this dude.
Bray Wyatt
I’d be all over this, 1 year deal with incentives. Also think about how much he can teach this defense to Edmunds Edited January 10, 2019 by Bray Wyatt

Florida Bills Fanatic
T. Davis is a class act and tough competitor. He will probably not be looking to go to a team as a backup. There are some teams like Cincinnati that are in desperate need of linebacker help that will pursue him.
GoBills808
Still a player, albeit a/ PED concerns. Outside that known as a high character guy. Emotional leader of that defense. At 36 he’s a good LB although no longer dominant. He was the perfect foil for Kuechly in Carolina...I would definitely be interested.

MJS
Oh, absolutely. Depth at linebacker is a serious problem for this team. Sign him up and also bring in a young linebacker or two.

That 3rd LB is a part time position anyway so it doesn't make sense to invest much cash or draft capital into the position. Davis could almost certainly play all 3 positions in the event of an injury. I thought when the Panthers extended his deal thru 2018 in the summer of 2017 that it was a move to prevent McD and his LB starved Bills from scheming to poach him after the 2017 season..........if you didn't think he might leave it was a bit of a weird move........kinda' like when the Beane unnecessarily extended Eric Wood in the summer of 2017 (except Wood was even less likely to leave). Fwiw.....Davis' agent is also former Terry Pegula employee Todd France..........the same guy who negotiated Dareus' sweetheart deal and Pegs signed off on..........so not sure if he's still tight with the Pegs or not.
ndirish1978
100% good with signing this guy. Tremaine and Matt could use the mentoring from a guy who has done it at the highest level for years.
Thurman#1
I think he's got another year or two left, but can't see it being the Bills who bring him in. More likely a team that feels they're in their SB window right now.

IgotBILLStopay
Get ‘er done Beane! 1 year deal or two years with a reasonable out. Davis will be the perfect foil to our Keuchly and help him with the reads. Move Lorax to spell Shaq at DE and to ST when Davis gets many snaps. But do need to use Davis and Lorax judiciously and keep em fresh for late in the season.
QCity
Oh man, might as well fit him for a jersey tomorrow. Is there any possibility this doesn't happen? I have no issues with a cheap 1-year deal, but based on their brief history of overpaying for former players, I'm skeptical this ends well. Have to believe McBeane loves this guy as he’d be schooled in the Process & scheme, great depth and locker room guy and injury insurance. Plus, it pushes one draft need down a bit to consider more offensive help or combine picks for a trade. ’notherwords, Giterdone!
H2o
A mentor role and some fill in snaps is about all he's good for at this point. You could see he had lost a step this year in Carolina. A good locker room guy, but wouldn't expect much in the way of on field production.
billsbackto81
Kinda mixed on this. 36 years old for such a demanding position? Dude can still ball though and would provide solid depth in rotation and mentoring. His knowledge could prove invaluable for Tremaine and Milano.
BuffaloBillyG
He would really help on 1st and 2nd downs. Could also be an option to free Zo up to rush the passer more, which frees Lawson up to kick inside more. Hoping Milano is good to go, but would be nice insurance policy fir that as well. At 36, he may be looking for a familiar system and coach to play for. Where else would he rather be?
