  1. We were lucky the Giants and Broncos both passed on QB's that year and no one else took Josh earlier, but you are right, we moved to 7 from 12 to get Josh.
  2. I couldn't read the aricle becasue of the paywall, but that premise is correct IMO. The more swings you get in the draft, the better chances you have of getting a hit. Early rounds (1-3) render better athletes, so it obvously makes a difference where your picks lie. While I generally like Beane, I hate his draft philosophy of moving up to get "his guy." It costs us swings at the bat to get young cheap talent. Here are the early trade ups. QB you have to move up for, but the rest are very debatable how well we did. In 2018 he moved up for a QB, which worked out because the Bills were lucky nobody selected Allen before us. Edmunds cost us a 3rd (we got back a 5th). 2019 sent a 5th for Cody Ford. Gave up 2 4th rounders for Knox. 2020 trade for Diggs, sent a 1st, 5th, 6th, and a 2021 4th. Got a 7th back 2021 no trade up. 2022 Elam cost a 4th 2023 Kincaid cost a 4th.
  3. Simms is 100% right. It's funny that Florio brings up Rogers as some kind of example. He's an example of a gigantic ass-clown and totally a "me first" guy IMO. Josh has always been a solid teammate. By burning his relatonship with Josh, Diggs separated himself somewhat from the rest of the team too.
  4. Trading up is foolish when we have so many holes. Good WRs are three rounds deep in this draft. Let the board come to you. Until the Diggs move, I wouldn’t have bet on a round 1 WR because they still could get a nice player in the second round. Now, I’m not sure about the first round but sure hope they’re not wasting draft capital to move up in the round. This is Beane’s weakness. He can’t help himself.
  5. He was a gigantic pain in the arse. C'ya! Moving on...and for the love of all that's holy don't trade up this draft for a WR when there's plenty to go around. Anybody recall Sammy Watkins?
  6. So, yeah PSL's suck, but this is news to people? Obviously, you guys weren't paying very close attention.
  7. Just a thought, but maybe Josh doesn't want to be extended. I'd certainly think twice about it if I want to win a Super Bowl.
  8. Rapp brings some physicality to a defense that practically has none. Nice signing and would like 3 or 4 more with some attitude, please.
  9. The Bills have a winning culture and are "winners." The problem not achieving in the playoffs isn't about culture.
  10. I'm not sure the comparisons fit your argument. Reid left Philly without a Super Bowl win. Dungy was a coaching change in Indy to win a Super Bowl. Your examples fit changing coaches not maintaing the status quo.
  11. That's pretty much the point of having an elite QB. As long as Josh stays healthy, the Bills can compete. How many coaches would love to coach Josh? I'd say, pretty much everyone. Time for a change.
  12. Very fair take and I think the "baggage" part is palpable.
  13. Sorry, I missed quoting you before. Reid also had no super bowls until Mahomes. I think we have a comparable player. Where is the rest of this organization (top to bottom)? There's a psychological aspect to this too. After a while the players don't believe it. Maybe they are there now. How long is Josh on board?
  14. Probaly not and we'll be having this same conversation next year. Reid lost in Philly. He didn't win until he was with KC. We're the Philly situation in this timeline.
  15. I agree on all but keeping McD. We're going to lose a lot of pieces this year, or should lose a lot of pieces. Just as well start fresh now.
  16. Scheme and adjustments are coaching. Our offense pounded them the first half. When they stacked the box and run blitzed in the 2nd half, no real adjustments to take advantage. We stalled out on too many drives. But still, it wasn't the offense. The defense was a joke, injuries or not. Same every year. I was out on McD last year, and I'm doubly out now. Next year, I'll be triply out as they rerun this nonsense.
  17. Completely agree on the players. We need more on both sides of the ball. Also agree that we are "close" with championship quality coaches...but they are not. Too many screw ups of all varieties. Riding the same horse isn't going to make it faster. Don't get me wrong, I like Beane and McD as people but too many mistakes by both at this point. Got to rip the bandaid off.
  18. No offense, but who picks the players and coaches them? It's organizational. The players weren't the luck of the draw. It's the team the Bills built.
  19. It's all been said ad nauseam. The whole organization has shite the bed. They did the best they could but it's over. There a lot of comparison's of Josh to Phillip Rivers and that's completely wrong. The comparison is to John Elway. You know how Denver finally won the Super Bowl? Yeah, they changed regimes. This is the way.
  20. Trevor Lawrence was doing that for the Jags but it caught up with him Sunday and they didn’t make it. As others have said, if you get hit in the air, even if not a great hit, it stops your momentum.
  21. Don’t like Allen jumping over the top, which he did twice. Risk for injury and fumble, plus too easy to spot the ball.
