BringBackOrton
Lots of season left to be played. If Allen plays the next 6 games and goes 2-4, throws 4 TD’s to 6 INT’s, and generally looks the same as he did last game, do you think about QB in rounds 1 or 2? RyanC883
build around Allen this off-season. Bring in young, talented OL, WR, and RB help. If Allen is not successful next year, draft another QB. Then we will have the framework for a QB to be successful. I'd also bring in a QB coach ASAP. Look at Goff pre and post McVey.

Bleeding Bills Blue
I like allen, and i still say this year. Petermans gone - anderson will be gone - barkleys a free agent and shouldn't be handed a job at this point in his career. Bring in someone in a later round, we have 10 picks. JAMIEBUF12
I say keep drafting them even if you love your starter. The Pats keep drafting qb’s and keep trading them for higher draft picks..Plus it would be nice to have two capable real quarterbacks on the team.Injuries are a reality at that position...Go Bills!!

Ridgewaycynic2013
Why draft?! With so many cast offs out there, the devoted fan base here will always be able to advise for a trade (sometimes even before the trade deadline), or just signing someone who's vacationing with family in the sunny south. Hey, isn't that Noonan Peterson over there?! Bring him in!!!

BillsFanForever19
I think if the right guy falls in the middle rounds - we'll probably take one this year. From a pure numbers standpoint they only have Allen under contract past this season. Barkley will probably re-sign. But they'll need another arm. And unless Allen lights it up the rest of the way - it's just smart to hedge your bets a little bit. Like Trent Edwards the year after JP Losman (not a great example since NEITHER panned out, but you get the point). But as for taking another one in Round 1 - Allen has at least another season before we can be considering that. Aussie Joe
I’ll be surprised if they draft a QB in 2019... Seems like they only want to keep 2 on the roster and I’m assuming they keep Barkley but even if he signs elsewhere then they will get another vet to replace him considering the debacle of this year... Maybe they pick up an UDFA as a camp arm
LSHMEAB
Not this year. Too many holes. Realistically, if Allen doesn't drastically improve next season, McBeane will likely be gone and the new regime would want their own guy. I understand the point made about a Trent Edwards type insurance plan, but this particular coach and GM are tied to Allen for better or worse. C.Biscuit97
They should look at a qb every year until one has been found. Obviously not in the first round next year but I’m fine with any other round. If your worst case is you have 2 good qbs, that’s a great problem to have. 1st Ammendment NoMas
You look at QB's every year. This is the NFL - Not For Long league. Even if you think you have your franchises guy, you always need a solid #2. If you have him, then you are looking at developmental QB who could step in and play if necessary by year #2. With the cap the way it is, you need a solid QB on a rookie deal on your roster, especially if you are paying your franchise guy in his second contract. You also always need to be looking for that sleeper QB in rounds 4-6 who could be the next Cousins, Wilson, Brady. Remember the Skins drafted Cousins in the 4th after taking RG3 in the first. People thought they were crazy but look how it turned out. Edited November 20, 2018 by BillsRdue
Bill from NYC
They should certainly draft a QB next season, even if Allen is great. Remember what we paid for Rob Johnson who was a 4th round pick? If we draft a qb and he turns out to be good he will either play, or be worth his weight in gold in terms of future draft value. msw2112
Take a mid-to-late round guy as a developmental project and potentially as a future backup. Kind of like what Peterman should have been if they didn't push him in far before he was ready and ruined him. If he shows promise, keep him as a QB3 or practice squad. If he doesn't, you move on. They have way too much invested in Allen to spend an early round pick on a QB, plus the drama and controversy it would create around the team would be a major hindrance. teef
he has to show some type of improvement over the course of the rest of this year, (if he plays) and especially next year. i still don't expect a finish product next year, but we need to see better than what we've seen so far. twoandfourteen
This year. Then again next year. Then again the year after that. Keep drafting QBs pretty much every year until you find a guy that can consistently operate a modern NFL passing attack at a competent level. Soda Popinski
I would role with Allen/Barkley for the next year (2019) and probably 2020. That said if the QB from Oklahoma State Cornelius was there in the 2nd round I'd probably take him as a backup.
TigerJ
Drafting a QB in round one of the 2018 draft just isn't going to happen. If they draft one at alol, it would be to have him on the PS for emergencies. I think they will try to sign Barkley to a 2-4 year contract in the off season. I think Derek Anderson will not be offered an extension. A QB on the PS could be handy to have if there are injuries. He will know the system and serve as a backup should Allen get injured and Barkley has to start, and he won't cost a roster spot if that does not happen. Look for a fifth rounder or later. Should Josh Allen not demonstrate sufficient improvement, I could see the Bills starting to think about a highly drafted QB in 2020.

Something like 20 TD's/10 picks 3500 yards is not too much to ask. It's not great, but it would be good enough that we'd have some confidence going forward. Anything less than that and we've got to seriously think about his long term future.
