Right, right and right!!! This coach absolutely squandered our best chance in decades , multiple seasons in a row. Now , here we are getting ready to rinse and repeat. Never fear, at the beginning of the new season , I’ll pour some more salt in the would and point out that we will never win it all with McD. Couldn't justify running it back with core group with team up against the salary cap. Re-tool, get younger and make another run. With Allen we will be competitive barring injury. Do you really feel that Tre White, Jordan Poyer, Mitch Morse, Deonte Harty, Nyheim Hines, Ryan Bates, and Siran Neal are what made this team last year? All we did was get out from under guys who were declining, injured, or didn't make an impact. With their exits, improvement is far more likely than decline with their replacements. So because we released a CB who hasn't been healthy or Elite for 3 years, a Safety who is clearly on the decline, a Special Teams Ace who is clearly on the decline, a WR/PR who never remotely lived up to his expectations or contract, a RB/PR who... same thing, and our starting Center who was still good, but old... our window is closed???? I think if anything this might show that Beane and McDermott are looking at this team and trying to ignite new life in it THIS year!!! Those 11 draft picks we have sure will help. Super Bowl!!!! Midseason 2023 I was seriously considering a controlled demolition. I'm ok with giving Brady a year to show what he can do, trying out some young guys and then hitting the accelerator in 2025. I’d argue we missed quite a beat last year and we still ended up the 2 seed. Team isn’t going to be as talented as it was the last 3 or 4 years. Josh could break an ankle and we could win 2 games. ultimately, outside of health, here’s what I believe. Sean McD can coach defense in the regular season. Despite probably being an older team with some new faces on the backend at safety, imo it’s practically a guarantee we are a top tenish d at least. Josh Allen is still far and away the best QB in the division and the second best in the conference/NFL. Combine a top 2 QB and a top 10 defense and that’s a playoff team just about every year.
