We had already given up on him and look at him now. Former Bill, Zach Moss is 2nd in the NFL in rushing and just behind McCaffrey at #1. Whoda thunk it? Congrats Zach. Looks like you get the last laugh.

Unfortunately for him, that won't stay like that too long as his carries will dwindle as Taylor gets up to speed.  But good for him, I could see teams calling Colts for trade interest before the deadline now that they extended Taylor.  Who knows if Colts would bite though, they might prefer the 1-2 punch now to put less wear on Taylor.

That was Daboll not having a use for him in the offense.

True, but he also was underperforming compared to Devin when here too, so you can't get more touches if you can't unseat the guy ahead of you, not to mention he had some injury issues too.

There's absolutely nothing to be learned from this. Zach has played extremely well in Taylor's absence, but:

  1. Is only playing BECAUSE of that absence, and
  2. he was terrible here.

Zach is on another team because he wasn't good enough to stay on our team. This isn't Wyatt Teller 2.0.

He's also running behind the o-line that helped block for the league leader in rushing last season. Taylor is good, but he didn't do it by himself

More proof that running backs are a dime a dozen and their success is almost entirely dependent on system/usage.

Yes all for never paying RB top dollar and drafting replacements instead. Other than fringe scenario where you are paying rookie QB don't think it is ever worth giving a running back that 2nd contract.

Also to put less stress on their backup QBthat they will have in all year.

The problem is further pointing towards coaching and scheme. Talent evaluation does look ok.

This doghouse that McD has built up is where teams are picking off talent from with the exception of Elam... but if he finds another team and excels we're going to look like idiots.

The last laugh alright. The dude looked like he had no ambition at all running in our offense. He goes to the Colts and says "game on motherf*ckers". He looked lazy when he ran here. Everyone saw it

I am not surprised. This is why I don't get excited about getting a RB, because our OL does not do a good enough job for one to flourish. FWIW I like our RB's this year, but it's always going to somewhat of a struggle with our OL.
