Dumb move to clock the ball on first down. It wasted a down. Would have only been a few more seconds to get the play called and Dallas D was reeling.

They had a Time out which never ended up being used I think…

They lost the game though with two terrible late  turnovers ..

i love watching players with a feel for the game. he's bright and aware. he's a bit of a throwback really. you'd start hurts over him in this day and age. but i like watching him.

That last series showed the difference in not having a mobile QB though, those running lanes were wide open and their LB’s/DB’s dropped way back in coverage, Minshew just doesn’t have the mobility to take advantage of that.

Wow, Maurice Jones Drew is so horrible on the pre game show. He is just an argumentative loudmouth. Mike Rob and Colleen Wolfe are 2 pros just sitting there trying to do their jobs while he interrupts and argues. And he constantly hates on Josh Allen and Buffalo.

I don’t like MJD or Steve Smith.  Both are annoying.

Hahah patriots. Whatever. Bengals loss today only matters if KC lose one more game, which they likely won't. In that case we could still get the one seed with a loss next week.

Unlikely this ends up changing anything .

This is not true. Or it is, if you only care about one seed.

But Bengals losing today would be great anyway. We could then lose to them and still be 2nd seed, which has quite a lot of value. If we lose to them next week and end up 3rd, we will likely have to go to both Cincy AND Kansas, which is the worst outcome possible.

Yea I was wrong. Mentioned that in a follow up post. Was only thinking about the one seed and not seeding. A loss would have been nice. O well, just beat em.

Looking at the standings, jags titans week 18 is for the division, no matter what either team does next week, right?

Interesting. Not sure I ever recall a situation like that before. Do they rest starters?

a jags win and titans loss next week gives the divison title to jax

No it doesn't. If that happened and then titans win the last week, they would have the same record, each won one game vs each other and titans would have better division record.

Just now, Taro Nimbus said:

correct.  Jax has the tiebreaker right now

Right now...they wouldn't if the titans win week 18

Man just checking out the Giants highlights. Isaiah Hodgins seems to be their number 1 receiver already. Bills crapped the bed evaluating that one.

Did they? They kept him around for a while. He made some plays when he was in, but also had some injury issues. Just because he goes to a worse team and gets more playing time doesn't mean the Bills missed. They gave him tons of chances.

Well he’s excelling now someone dropped the ball and that’s Daniel Jones throwing to him.

He semi right… It’s the NFL everybody has talent

There always has to be the best of a bad bunch… Kelvin Benjamin Was Joshs number one for a stretch… Robert Foster was Joshs number one for a stretch

One ate himself into a left tackle… And the others on a practice squad.. But Foster showed promise with Josh for a year

It’s because Lots of wide receivers can do something for stretches when given the chance… What separates them is the consistency to put it together for 17 game seasons and for multiple seasons

He couldn’t stay healthy and crack the depth chart here … it’s the NFL… not for long

They didn’t give him tons of chances. He was stuck behind Kumerow. Basically because of special teams. He’s getting a real chance now. It will be a conversation if WR depth becomes an issue.

He’s not a true WR1 but could show to be a capable WR2. Still a lot to prove.

Back to WR depth. Hodgins should show everyone that no one knows what depth we have until players actually get a chance. We complained about WR depth with Hodgins as our 6/7 WR.

Can work both ways. I thought Joquan Johnson would fill in great at safety. Just needed a shot. He was terrible. You never know until they get their shot.

Would of loved to keep him- always wanted to give him a chance - my biggest gripe with this team is the WR depth. He just has that size that would probably be very helpful in the RedZone -

If Hodgins were still part of the Bills organization he wouldn’t be playing much at all. Nothing changes for us.

Who have they developed?

Gabe is the only wr that they drafted and kept on the roster.

Gabe, Mckenzie, Knox, and now Hodgins (according to this thread)

The pro scouts have also evaluated other talent well and brought in vets that are good fits.

It's been a very successful position group for the Bills after Josh's first year

Hodgins is a nice story but he is basically Robert Foster for the Bills when they had nobody else and he played by default.

Not sure what Kenny Golladsy did to piss off 2 coaching staffs but he can't get on the field.

He’s just a guy. I agree. It kind of shows people what WR depth is. You’re not typically going to be 4 starters deep at WR.
